The US base salary range for this full-time position is 160,800.00 USD - 201,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. What you'll do as a Corporate Counsel, New Ventures
- Serve as a legal partner for DraftKings Predictions, our new prediction markets product, and support other emerging product areas within the New Ventures portfolio.
- Analyze novel legal and regulatory issues related to financial services and consumer-facing digital products.
- Provide proactive legal advice across the product lifecycle from ideation to launch to iteration balancing business goals with regulatory and risk considerations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Revenue Operations, IT, Compliance, and others.
- Translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical guidance tailored to technical and non-legal audiences.
- Monitor and interpret emerging laws and trends in financial and product regulation, and advise internal teams on how they may impact our business.
- Coordinate with other Legal team members and outside counsel to ensure thorough and business-aligned legal support.
- Contribute to building scalable processes and playbooks for delivering legal guidance across New Ventures.
What you'll bring
- Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution with excellent academic credentials.
- At least four years of legal experience, ideally a mix of law firm and in-house or government/regulatory work.
- Experience with financial regulation, consumer protection law, product counseling, or adjacent areas.
- Demonstrated ability to support product teams and advise on complex, evolving regulatory questions.
- Clear, concise communication skills with a strong ability to advise cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a bias toward learning, especially in ambiguous or novel legal areas.
- Team-first mindset with a willingness to collaborate, share knowledge, and support a growing function.
- Experience working in fast-paced, highly regulated, or tech-driven industries is a plus.
