COMPANY
Everly Health's mission is to transform lives with modern, diagnostics-driven care, and we believe that the future of healthcare is meeting people where they are. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Everly Health is the parent company to Everlywell, Everly Health Solutions, Natalist, and Everly Diagnostics. We've set a new standard of people-focused, diagnostic-driven care that puts patients at the center of their own health journey.

Our infrastructure guides the full testing experience with the support of a national clinician network that's composed of hundreds of physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, PharmDs, and member care specialists. Our solutions make world-class virtual care more attainable with rigorous clinical protocols and best-in-class science to tackle some of the healthcare industry's biggest problems.

ROLE SUMMARY
We are hiring a Client- Facing Senior Data Analyst to help support our ability to anticipate client questions, deliver insights, and help tailor their specific programs to maximize their success within our suit. Additionally, the Senior Data Analyst will work both independently and with business stakeholders to analyze our data and turn it into useful reports for our partners - both in ways that span across partners and ways that are uniquely tailored to the needs of our top accounts. This information will be leveraged to make recommendations for initiatives set to improve our attainment of client goals, and grow the retention of and depth of integration into key clients.. This requires proficiency in business intelligence tools, very strong database skills (SQL), a technical understanding of data architecture and modeling, a strong business sense, and comfort interfacing with clients directly - understanding, speaking to, and delivering on their analytical needs.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Enterprise Operations, you will work with other analytics team members, business stakeholders, and data engineers to understand what our data means, where it is lacking, and how it can be modeled to make it available for analysis and visualization. You’ll perform strategic business analyses for various departments and clients, and synthesize findings for business leaders. These analyses will provide the foundation for future business initiatives. The data that you model and analyze will be used across the company to monitor the health of the business and identify areas for improvement. You will need to be able translate data to insights that can inform business and help clients and the business achieve their goals.

You will be a key caretaker of our garden of knowledge. We are in high growth, startup mode and need someone who is willing to get their hands dirty. If you are passionate about turning data into information that can be used to make better and faster business decisions and are looking for an opportunity to learn, build, optimize, and grow in your career, Everlywell is the place for you.

What You'll Do

  • Extract unstructured data from a variety of sources, manipulate data into a form suitable for analysis  – and then explore data using statistical methods and a visualization tool like Looker
  • Perform strategic data analysis and research to support business and client needs; build models to guide prediction of outcomes and aid decision making
  • Provide recommendations to business stakeholders, clients and leaders.
  • Proactively bring new business opportunities unearthed through data mining to the attention of business leaders, sales leaders, and clients.
  • Partner with business stakeholders in framing and prioritizing business questions considering both short and long potential impact, interpreting findings, quantifying opportunities, and proposing actions with a data-centric point of view.
  • Shape, explore, and publish data for business analysis or stakeholder initiatives using core BI tools (Excel, Looker, GSuite, Snowflake, SQL Server).
  • Collaborate with business teams on ad-hoc analyses that uncover root cause of recent business trends - and set the stage for deeper insight going forward
  • Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
  • Validate business data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.

Who You Are

  • 6-8+ years of progressive experience in an analytics/reporting role at a healthcare technology company or health plan
  • A passion for details, knowledge, and understanding of how healthcare data works, and partnering with clients to meet their unique needs
  • Excellent systems thinking
  • A keen ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and communicate expectations. When something’s not going well, you can autonomously figure out the root cause, and apply your learnings to quickly resolve the issue and underlying cause.
  • Ability to identify and solve for underlying operational challenges and opportunities rather than simply executing prescribed processes
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-changing environment. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing best practices as you go!
  • Must be results focused, able to work independently, and capable of managing multiple complex projects.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and situational awareness, with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex concepts and programs with a wide variety of stakeholders including those with technical savvy and those without, and intermittently directly with large enterprise programs; can drive alignment and establish new best practices where it is lacking across functional/team boundaries

Skills & Abilities Required

  • Mastery of SQL and a solid understanding of data architecture (Snowflake and/or SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with data pipeline tools like Airflow, Fivetran, and Azure Data Factory
  • Journey person-level skill of a data visualization product like Tableau or Looker
  • Proficiency in web analytics applications, strong database skills, and technical understanding of website architecture preferred
