Job Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help advance a large-scale location intelligence platform that turns raw mobility and geospatial signals into high-impact data products. In this role, you’ll design, prototype, and productionize models and heuristics that connect location patterns to real-world behavior—using techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and rigorous hypothesis testing. You’ll work with very large datasets, partnering closely with engineering to build memory- and compute-efficient approaches that scale in distributed environments (e.g., Spark/Hadoop). Your work will directly power core product capabilities, and you’ll be expected to dive deep into the math, validate results thoughtfully, and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities
  • Design and prototype of scalable algorithms.

  • Assess the quality of new datasets for downstream processing.

  • Create functional and technical documentation of analyses, findings, and prototypes.

  • Collaborate with Engineering to productionize prototypes.

  • Communicate results to teams within the organization and to customer.

  • Generate and implement Machine-Learning algorithms

Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • Experience with Scala, Spark, Python, AB testing, Bayesian statistics, Graphical Data Structures, Functional Programming.

  • Experience with Deep Learning, Probabilistic Graphical Models, Active Learning, Anomaly Detection, Image Classification.

  • PhD in a quantitative field, or Master with 5+ years’ experience in a data science role.

  • Extensive background in math or statistics.

  • Experience owning multiple large projects/data products.
