Stratus, deriving from the Latin term meaning 'layer', offers an advanced set of MEP-specific solutions that seamlessly layer across a contractor's entire workflow from design to fabrication to installation. Our team of seasoned industry experts, skilled technology leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs understands that fabrication does not occur in isolation, and increasingly, it may not happen within your own fabrication shop. Through close relationships with our customers — who include some of the most innovative and largest MEP contractors — we have developed a suite of Stratus tools to digitize, automate, and optimize piping, plumbing, sheet metal, and electrical contracting. Stratus provides the software layer an MEP contractor needs to optimize profits with true "Data-Driven Contracting."

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Demand Generation Marketer to own and scale our pipeline engine at a pivotal moment of growth. This is a B2B SaaS company selling into a traditionally underserved, technical vertical. We move fast, we're still building a lot of our playbook from scratch, and we need someone who thrives on ambiguity as much as they thrive on a well-run campaign. You'll have real ownership over demand gen strategy, not just execution of someone else's plan.

This role sits at the intersection of pipeline growth and revenue accountability. You'll partner closely with sales and RevOps to make sure marketing-sourced pipeline actually converts, not just fills a dashboard.

What You'll Do

  • Own the demand generation strategy and roadmap across paid, organic, ABM, email/lifecycle, and events channels
  • Build and manage a multi-channel pipeline engine, from top-of-funnel awareness through MQL/SQL handoff
  • Partner with sales leadership to define and refine ideal customer profile, account scoring, and lead routing
  • Design and run account-based marketing programs targeting a defined list of high-value target accounts
  • Manage and optimize paid media spend (search, social, retargeting) with a clear eye on CAC and pipeline efficiency, not just clicks
  • Build lifecycle and nurture programs that move leads through the funnel with minimal manual lift
  • Establish and own the demand gen reporting cadence: pipeline sourced/influenced, funnel conversion rates, channel efficiency, and forecast contribution
  • Collaborate with content and product marketing to ensure campaigns are grounded in a strong narrative and speak to the actual buyer, not generic B2B messaging
  • Continuously test, measure, and iterate; this role has a bias toward shipping and learning over perfecting a plan in a doc
  • Help build the systems and processes (not just the campaigns) that let demand gen scale as the team grows

What We're Looking For

  • 5-8+ years in B2B SaaS demand generation, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
  • A track record of owning pipeline targets and being directly accountable for hitting them
  • Deep fluency in the modern MarTech stack (marketing automation, CRM, ABM tooling, attribution/reporting)
  • Experience building programs from a relatively blank slate, not just optimizing an existing, mature engine
  • Strong instincts for the balance between volume and quality of pipeline; you know that a full top-of-funnel doesn't matter if it doesn't convert
  • Comfort operating with real ambiguity and shifting priorities; you build the plane while flying it, and you don't need every process defined before you start
  • Sharp analytical skills paired with the ability to translate data into a clear story and a clear next action
  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator, especially with sales and RevOps; you see pipeline as a shared outcome, not a marketing-only metric
  • A bias toward action: comfortable shipping an 80%-ready campaign this week over a perfect one next quarter
  • A genuinely creative streak; you can come up with out-of-the-box campaign ideas that break through the noise, not just run the standard playbook

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing to a technical, trade, or vertical-specific buyer (construction, industrial, field services, or similar)
  • Experience in a company scaling quickly, ideally through a Series A/B growth stage
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted marketing tooling and workflows

What Success Looks Like

In the first 90 days: You've audited the current funnel, identified the highest-leverage gaps, and shipped at least one new program or significant optimization to an existing one.

In the first 6 months: You own a demand gen engine with clear reporting, a defined ABM motion for target accounts, and a measurable lift in pipeline efficiency, with sales as a genuine partner in the process rather than a downstream recipient of leads.

Benefits
  • Comprehensive and competitive health benefits plan
  • Matching 401k contributions
  • 20 days annual PTO
  • Primarily remote work with occasional annual team onsites.

This role is best suited for someone energized by fast-paced, high-growth environments where the org is still being built in real time, and who wants ownership over outcomes, not just execution of a static playbook.
