About the Opportunity

At Blumira, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. To help us build and improve functional systems that enable our growth, we’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who has fresh ideas and a unique viewpoint, and who enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop solutions. 

Our DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers combine engineering experience with an innate drive to improve existing systems and processes, alongside the creativity needed to solve evolving challenges.  The ideal candidate will be an expert in agility and have a focus on breaking down barriers, deploying automation, and helping the team make meaningful improvements.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and maintain internal tooling and workflows that improve observability/testing, embedding reliability and automation in every phase of development and deployment
  • Automate workflows, streamline CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), and ensure fast, safe, and reliable deployments across environments
  • Build, manage, and scale Kubernetes-based microservices infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and IT teams to design and implement automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment
  • Deep understanding of the DevOps principles and their implementation in different workflows. Previous experience with CI/CD services (GitLab)
  • Design and operate monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions using platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry 

Required Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role such as Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer, including participation in an on‑call rotation
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools, especially Terraform 
  • Familiarity with incident management, on-call operations, and post-mortem processes
  • Hands-on experience with Argo/Flux CD for GitOps-based Kubernetes deployments
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, including architecture, deployments, networking, and troubleshooting
  • Proven experience with AWS services and multi-cloud architecture patterns in production environments
  • Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD pipeline design, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with observability tools (e.g., metrics, logging, distributed tracing) and familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, or OpenTelemetry
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash for the purpose of scripting, data analysis, and building automation tooling

$160,000$180,000 USD
