Job Summary

Firefly has an exciting opportunity to join our marketing and communications team as a Senior Digital Media Manager. This position will drive the digital media strategy and development at Firefly, including social media, livestreams, video, and photography. The ideal candidate has a broad range of experience across the marketing ecosystem with a focus on social media management, video storytelling, and livestream production. They are collaborative, self-motivated, analytical, attentive to detail, and operate with a sense of urgency. This candidate also has excellent communication and writing skills and the ability to thrive and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, development and implementation of Firefly’s social media, livestreams, video, and photography with support from Firefly’s digital content producer and contractors.
  • Manage content strategy and development across Firefly’s social media accounts, including X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to identify, capture, and amplify key program milestones across Firefly’s launch, lunar, and in-space product lines.
  • Manage relationships with key social media influencers and identify strategic opportunities for influencer engagement.
  • Manage content storyboarding and production of Firefly’s livestreams in collaboration with Firefly contractors.
  • Report on social media and video performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all digital assets in alignment with Firefly’s brand guidelines and standards.
  • Collaborate with Firefly partners and customers for content co-creation and distribution.
  • Stay on top of budgets, timelines, and deadlines to meet Firefly’s digital media priorities.
  • Demonstrate measurable business impact based on the goals outlined for digital media initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing with 8+ years of experience in social media, video, digital marketing and people leadership, 4 years of additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience leading others and developing a team of high-preforming professionals
  • Experience with strategic digital media planning and campaign implementation. Ability to develop strategic plans surrounding Firefly’s products and people
  • Experience with social media publishing and analytics platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout).
  • Knowledge of video productions and livestreams, including developing a run of show, script writing, directing and production
  • Understanding of operating different types of video equipment, including cameras, tripods, microphones, lighting, and other technical gear.
  • Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing latest photography techniques, methods, and equipment to capture and edit images that tell compelling stories.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifcations

  • Fast-paced aerospace and defense industry experience preferred.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
