Senior Director, Affiliate Marketing - ENTERPRISE 

The Senior Director, Enterprise Affiliate Marketing is a delivery leader at Gen3 Marketing responsible for driving performance, profitability, and long-term growth across a portfolio of enterprise-level affiliate accounts. Reporting to the Vice President of the Enterprise team, this role leads multi-layered client service teams responsible for managing complex, high-value client partnerships. 

This Senior Director is a strategic operator and coach, someone who can move fluidly from executive client strategy to internal forecasting to real-time performance troubleshooting while reinforcing the company’s vision, mission and long-term goals. The role requires exceptional command of affiliate campaign/program performance insights, proactive contingency planning, and strong forecasting capabilities to ensure Gen3 consistently delivers on client outcomes. 

The goal is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives. 

  • Reports to: Delivery Leaders (VP, SVP) 

  • Oversees: Director(s), Delivery Team  
     

Responsibilities:  

Enterprise Portfolio & Client Leadership 

  • Own health and growth of assigned enterprise client books (retention, revenue, margin, expansion, MTA utilization, MMM education and stewardship). 

  • Serve as an escalation point for enterprise clients, leading/shaping QBRs and annual plans. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Enterprise leadership, affiliate networks and media partners. 

  • Partner with Delivery Leaders on portfolio strategy, P&L direction, and resourcing models. 

Forecasting & Financial Stewardship 

  • Lead ongoing forecasting cadence across enterprise portfolios; validate assumptions and risk buffers. 

  • Drive Director accountability to pacing discipline and forward-looking planning. 

  • Use forecasts to guide prioritization, investment decisions, and staffing; protect margin. 

  • Manage team-level budgets aligned to strategic outcomes. 

Performance Insights & Optimization 

  • Set standard for Director-level performance storytelling: insights → strategy → measurable action. 

  • Oversee enterprise program deep dives (publisher mix, attribution impacts, incrementality, promo strategy, funnel contribution). 

  • Identify trends/risks, guide Directors on optimization roadmaps, and validate execution quality. 

Strategic Contingency Planning & Risk Management 

  • Require and review scenario-based contingency plans for major risks (tracking, publisher churn, budget shifts, competitive pressure, seasonal volatility). 

  • Lead cross-functional recovery plans when leading indicators deteriorate; maintain client confidence. 

  • Work closely with finance, brand leads and media planners to align affiliate strategies with broader business priorities. 

Director & Team Leadership 

  • Coach and performance-manage Directors through 1:1s, structured development plans, and goal setting. 

  • Build scalable delivery leadership bench; oversee performance reviews and succession readiness. 

  • Improve enterprise delivery processes and cross-portfolio best-practice sharing.
