Role Summary 

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Senior Product Manager – AI Software Stack to lead the strategy, growth, and commercialization of AI software solutions supporting robotics, industrial automation, and automotive applications. 

This leader will own the end-to-end AI software portfolio, including vision, perception, control, and inference stacks that enable intelligent, autonomous systems across sense, think, communicate, and act modalities. The role carries full responsibility for product strategy, roadmap execution, partnerships, and P&L, working closely with engineering, ecosystem partners, and customers to scale a differentiated software business. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Product & Business Leadership 

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and P&L for AI software and system-level solutions. 

  • Build and scale significant revenue bookings to drive the business towards positive cash flow by the end of 2028, with clear commercial strategy and execution rigor. 

  • Define portfolio positioning across automotive, ADAS, robotics, and industrial automation markets. 

AI Software & Solution Strategy 

  • Guide to the development of AI software stacks spanning perception, control, simulation, kinematics, and real-time inference. 

  • Ensure solutions are optimized for deployment across automotive, industrial, robotics, and edge/IoT endpoints. 

  • Translate market and customer needs into scalable, differentiated software offerings. 

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams including engineering, research, product management, and go-to-market stakeholders. 

  • Partner closely with hardware, platform, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated system solutions. 

Ecosystem & Partnerships 

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with automakers, Tier‑1 suppliers, software providers, and technology partners. 

  • Shape a strong ecosystem strategy that accelerates adoption and expands market reach. 

Go-to-Market & Operational Excellence 

  • Optimize go-to-market models, pricing, and operating structures to support profitable growth. 

  • Drive operational discipline, cost optimization, and execution efficiency across the portfolio. 

Open Source & Industry Engagement 

  • Lead GlobalFoundries’ engagement with open-source communities, frameworks, and industry consortia. 

  • Influence standards and ecosystems that align with long-term AI software and platform strategy. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred. Master's degree/Ph.D is preferred. 

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, product line leadership, or general management roles within AI software, robotics, automotive, industrial automation, or adjacent technology domains. 

  • Demonstrated ownership of product strategy, roadmap execution, and P&L responsibility for software or system-level offerings. 

  • Proven ability to build and scale a commercial business, including bookings, growth, pricing strategy, and go-to-market execution. 

  • Strong understanding of AI and software stacks including perception, computer vision, control systems, simulation, and real-time inference deployed at the edge. 

  • Experience leading cross-functional, globally distributed teams across engineering, research, product, and commercial functions. 

  • Track record of developing and managing strategic partnerships and ecosystems, including OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and software/technology partners. 

 

Expected Salary Range

$198,000.00 - $362,000.00
