The Role
The Senior Director of Commercial Strategy, MedTech role requires a deep understanding of the global medical device and diagnostics space and applications that span the commercial function. This role will be responsible for growing Veeva’s MedTech market share in the commercial execution area – specifically CRM. In this role, the individual will have the opportunity to work with a strong team of MedTech industry and technology experts who are working to build a growing team within Veeva.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for growing and sustaining the MedTech market for Vault CRM and associated applications, including Campaign Manager, Events Management, and Align
- Provide thought leadership and sales support to teams in driving new opportunities in the Commercial space
- Provide business and technology guidance to the Product team in support of new or enhanced features and functionality in defined applications
- Develop strategy and messaging for customer adoption of new features and functionality for a new and existing customer base
- Coordinate resources across the customer lifecycle from sales to delivery and beyond
- Present at industry conferences, lead webinars, and author articles for industry publications
- Build lasting relationships and help foster an energetic community of customers to develop evangelists within the industry and facilitate peer to peer collaboration
- Work collaboratively with Marketing to develop and support the execution of impactful marketing strategies
Requirements
- 10+ years experience working as a solution provider / consultant to the life sciences industry
- Understanding of SaaS/Cloud solutions and technology with a proven track record of helping advise customers on adoption of new products
- High level understanding of Commercial business processes and technology
- Proven success in customer facing roles
- CEO mentality to drive outcomes internally and externally. Stays focused on results and drives execution among the team. Able to work with autonomy and adapt to change.
- Ability to critically think and develop a strategy and execution plan across all areas of business (Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Consulting, etc.)
- Confident in presenting to senior stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Direct prior or current experience within commercial at a MedTech company
- Experience with content and data management technologies and coordinating business transformations in a consulting role
- Proven track record of thought leadership through industry presentations, publications, or other mechanisms
- Experience selling software and/or services to medical device and diagnostics organizations

Compensation
- Base pay: $150,000 - $300,000
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
