At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

At GoDaddy, we're not just building tools — we're building bold, resilient leaders who can drive transformative change. Our Senior Directors are entrepreneurial, adaptable, and relentless in their pursuit of impact, operating on the frontlines of our most important and ambiguous challenges to shape the future of the business from within.

We are seeking a Senior Director Corporate Strategy, who will be entrusted with GoDaddy's most strategic priorities and asked to solve our hardest, least-defined problems: Where should GoDaddy grow? What markets are most attractive? Where is competitive pressure increasing? What capabilities should we build, buy, or partner for? How should we allocate resources, and what should we prioritize? In this role, you won't be defined by function or title, but by the quality of your judgment and the outcomes you drive.

What you'll get to do...

  • Own Ambiguity End-to-End: Take an open-ended executive question and independently convert it into hypotheses, rigorous analysis, strategic options, a clear recommendation, and a path to action
  • Drive Strategic Impact: Lead critical, cross-functional initiatives with high visibility and material outcomes — often reported to shareholders
  • Advise Senior Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, bringing structured thinking to their hardest, least-defined problems and challenging assumptions when the data warrants it
  • Where Needed: Take on multiple roles to get the job done — whether as a governance lead, initiative owner, advisor, or subject matter expert
  • Build and Scale Capabilities: Deliver insights and solutions while laying the groundwork for repeatable models, systems, and processes
  • Lead Through Influence: Whether by setting a bold vision, working shoulder-to-shoulder, or mentoring leaders — you'll lead from the front, side, and behind
  • Craft and Complete: Apply a diverse toolkit that includes market sizing, competitive analysis, customer segmentation, scenario planning, financial analysis, and business-case development. When the tools are lacking, you'll build them
  • Accelerate Execution: Apply urgency, precision, and focus to carry a recommendation through executive decision-making into implementation and measurable business outcomes — not handing it off once the deck is done
  • Communicate with Clarity: Distill complex, ambiguous strategic issues into simple, credible narratives for executive audiences — what we should do, why, what evidence supports it, what alternatives exist, and what happens if we don't act

Your experience should include...

  • 10+ years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, private equity, or a related field, preferably within technology, with customer-first strategy development and execution
  • A demonstrated track record of independently owning complex, ambiguous strategic problems and shaping enterprise-level recommendations for senior leadership — not simply running analyses or managing individual strategy projects
  • Proven experience guiding multi-team, technology-centric initiatives from planning through implementation, including identifying and executing growth and value-creation strategies such as new business launches, market entry, partnerships, or M&A
  • Strong financial analysis skills and a proven ability to develop deep market, customer, and competitive analyses that uncover trends, risks, and opportunities to inform data-driven decisions
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with a track record of building consensus and driving decisions across senior, cross-functional stakeholders, even amid disagreement or competing priorities

You might also have...

  • Training at a top-tier management consulting firm early in your career
  • Corporate strategy experience at a leading, high-growth technology, marketplace, or platform company
  • A background spanning investment banking and/or venture capital en route to a corporate strategy leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • MBA or advanced degree

We encourage you to apply even if your experience or skillset doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement. We value a wide range of backgrounds and transferable skills, and we are excited to support learning and growth
