About the role

We're looking for a Sr. Director of CRO & Landing Page Strategy to build and lead our CRO function. Clients engage us for CRO through two core service offerings:

  • Onsite optimization: standard, site-wide conversion rate optimization on a client's own website, homepage, category and product pages, cart, checkout, and everything in between. Not tied to any particular traffic source.

  • Landing pages via CairnAI: our proprietary no-code landing page and post-click funnel optimization tool, used to build and test paid media landing pages and funnels, from the ad click through to PDP, cart, and checkout.

This is a senior, build-from-the-ground-up position. You'll own the CRO function end to end, including both services and the judgment to know which one (or combination) is right for a given client.

The role evolves in phases:

  • First three months, execution. You'll work directly with clients as an individual contributor, running on-site optimization programs and building/testing landing pages and funnels in CairnAI, depending on what each client needs. This hands-on period is how you'll learn the accounts, the tool, and where the gaps are.

  • In parallel, foundation building. As you execute, you'll document and standardize the processes, templates, and workflows the function will run on long term, across both services, so quality and speed don't depend on any one person.

  • Growth. Once the foundation is solid, you'll partner closely with GTM to bring in new CRO clients and new revenue, across onsite optimization, CairnAI, or both.

  • Team building. As revenue justifies it, you'll build the case for and build and develop a team under you, hiring to match demand across the function.

Throughout, you'll work closely with leadership and cross-functionally with paid media, creative, and GTM. This is a highly visible role that will shape how Lunar delivers CRO across the client base.

What you'll own

  • Function leadership: building and eventually leading Lunar's CRO function, starting as an individual contributor and scaling into a team leader as revenue supports it

  • Onsite optimization: owning strategy and execution for site-wide conversion rate optimization, including UX, page-level, and checkout optimization across the full customer journey

  • CairnAI / landing page strategy: owning strategy and execution for paid media landing pages and post-click funnels, from initial click through PDP, cart, and checkout, built inside CairnAI

  • Offer strategy: designing and testing bundles, free gifts with purchase, pricing anchors, and other offer structures as conversion levers, applicable across both services

  • Process and systems: establishing the templates, workflows, and playbooks that let the CRO function scale without losing quality

  • Testing roadmap: maintaining structured experimentation pipelines across accounts and both services, prioritized by impact and capacity, with clear hypotheses and documented learnings

  • Reporting & analytics: tracking and reporting on test results and performance across the function, translating that data into clear takeaways for clients and internal teams

  • Client communication: presenting test results, offer recommendations, and roadmap priorities to client stakeholders

  • Service fit: assessing each client's needs and determining whether onsite optimization, CairnAI, or a combination is the right approach

  • Revenue growth: partnering with GTM to package and sell CRO services, expanding the client base

  • Team building: identifying when and where to hire, and building out the CRO team as revenue justifies it

  • Cross-functional & leadership collaboration: working closely with paid media and creative teams on CairnAI work, and more broadly with company leadership on strategy and planning for the function

Requirements

  • Experience owning or building a function, practice, or team from the ground up, not just executing within an existing structure

  • Proven experience working with ecommerce brands on Shopify

  • Direct landing page and paid funnel experience: building and testing post-click landing pages using tools such as Replo, Shogun, Unbounce, or similar

  • Hands-on experience working closely with paid media teams and thinking in terms of paid funnels: traffic quality, audience intent, and creative angles feeding the post-click experience

  • Hands-on experience managing and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers and developers

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in CRO, ecommerce growth, or performance marketing, with meaningful time at an agency or across multiple DTC brands

  • Direct, hands-on CRO experience: running structured testing programs on client or company websites, covering UX, page optimization, and checkout

  • Direct offer strategy experience: designing or testing bundles, GWP, pricing anchors, or tiered pricing as conversion levers for ecommerce brands

  • Strong familiarity with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify and WordPress is strongly encouraged, as well as comfortability with Figma and Photoshop

  • Copywriting ability: you can write and edit high-converting page copy yourself without needing to brief it out every time

  • Data-driven approach to testing and reporting: comfortable pulling, interpreting, and acting on performance data rather than relying on gut feel alone

  • Strong project management skills, with experience with Agile methodologies

  • Comfort operating as both an individual contributor and a leader, and the judgment to know which mode a given moment calls for

  • Experience partnering with sales/GTM teams on revenue growth, ideally including pitching or scoping new business

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus

Who you are

  • You understand CRO as one discipline with two levers, onsite and landing page, and know how to diagnose which combination (or both) will move the needle for a given client

  • You can operate as a hands-on executor and as a function leader, and you're motivated by building something rather than just running it

  • You are deeply collaborative and thrive working closely with media buyers, creative teams, GTM, and leadership rather than in isolation

  • You're highly organized and can manage multiple testing roadmaps, deliverable timelines, and, eventually, direct reports in parallel without anything slipping through the cracks

  • You treat offers and pricing as conversion tools, not just business decisions made elsewhere

  • You are rigorous about testing and documentation: your experiments are structured, your conclusions are clear, and your learnings are portable across accounts and turn into repeatable processes

  • You are data-driven: you let performance data guide your prioritization and recommendations, not just instinct

  • You have strong consumer psychology instincts and can identify where and why someone stops converting, whether that's on a homepage or a paid landing page

  • You think commercially: you can see where the function should grow and build the case to invest in it

Top Reasons You’ll Love It Here:
  • Accelerated career growth and leadership opportunities.

  • Direct mentorship and collaboration with senior leaders across departments.

  • A talented, supportive, and passionate team that loves what we do.

  • Competitive benefits including 100% paid Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, and Life insurance.

  • 401K with company match.

  • Generous PTO and holidays, plus a day off during your birthday week!
