Harbor is seeking a Senior Director of Enterprise Technology Strategy to join our growing team.  The Senior Director of Enterprise Technology Strategy will serve as the senior leader responsible for shaping, building, and scaling Harbor’s Enterprise Technology Strategy solution globally. This leader will define the strategic vision, architect digital transformation programs, and lead enterprise-wide technology modernization for law firms and legal organizations. The role requires a blend of business acumen, technology foresight, and change leadership to guide clients through complex transformation journeys — from strategy and design to implementation and value realization.

This is a 100% remote position that can be worked from anywhere in the US (EST and CST time zones preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategic Direction

  • Define and drive the overall vision, strategy, and growth trajectory of the Enterprise Technology Strategy solution.
  • Build and scale innovative service offerings that address the evolving needs of law firms — from core systems modernization and cloud transformation to data and AI strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership within client organizations, shaping how technology supports long-term business and operational objectives.

Client Strategy & Delivery Excellence:

  • Lead high-impact, multi-phase transformation engagements across technology, data, and AI domains, guiding clients through diagnostic assessments.
  • Partner with COOs, CTOs, CIOs, and Managing Partners to align enterprise technology initiatives with organizational strategy and financial outcomes.
  • Translate technology investments into measurable results across operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and client value creation.
  • Oversee diagnostic workstreams, including:
  • Technology Architecture Diagnostics: Map and assess legacy systems, integration points, and modernization opportunities.
  • Data Strategy & Governance Assessments: Identify silos, inefficiencies, and data-driven value creation opportunities across contracts, matters, and reporting.
  • AI Readiness & Optimization: Evaluate use cases for automation, predictive insights, and workflow augmentation.
  • Process & Workflow Optimization: Identify and redesign manual processes to enable agility, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of reference architectures, scorecards, toolkits, and frameworks to support delivery consistency and accelerate client outcomes.

Business Development & Market Leadership

  • Lead the origination and growth of multi-phase client relationships spanning strategy, implementation, and managed support.
  • Collaborate across practice areas (e.g., operations, analytics, AI, and transformation) to bring integrated, cross-disciplinary solutions to clients.
  • Represent the Enterprise Technology Strategy solution in client meetings, industry forums, and thought leadership platforms.
  • Present market-shaping insights on enterprise transformation, legal technology innovation, and digital operating models.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing global team of consultants and technologists.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the solution team.
  • Partner with other practice leaders to co-develop methodologies, delivery playbooks, and shared intellectual property.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, business or related field.
  • At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, or IT consulting — ideally within professional services, consulting, or the legal industry.
  • Proven track record leading technology transformation programs for law firms or complex professional services organizations.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, data ecosystems, and AI applications relevant to the legal industry.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to quantify and articulate the ROI of technology initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership and relationship-building skills, with experience influencing C-suite and senior executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling consulting practices or service lines.
  • Recognized thought leader with a history of contributing to industry publications, speaking engagements, or innovation forums.
