Job Overview

7‑Eleven is seeking a Senior Director, IT Infrastructure & Network to lead a largescale, enterprise-wide infrastructure transformation during a critical period of modernization and growth. This leader will be accountable for stabilizing and modernizing our core infrastructure while enabling strategic initiatives that directly impact store and customer experience, enterprise system reliability, and long-term scalability.

The role will lead a multi‑disciplinary organization encompassing data centers, network, telecom, cloud platforms, end-user computing, desktop services, IT service management, and infrastructure-related software engineering. A core priority will be to envision, design, and build a future enterprise and store infrastructure that is modern, resilient, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Transformation & Modernization

  • Lead a multi-year IT infrastructure transformation program, including:
    • Data center modernization and migration, balancing sunsetting legacy environments with modernization whilst ensuring minimal service disruption.
    • Envision, design, build and   transition to a future-state “north star” that will serve as the foundation for an aggressive technology, digital, and AI strategy aligned to 7-Eleven’s long-term business strategy through 2030.
    • Drive modernization decisions through ROI-based investment discipline.

Run-the-Business & Operational Stability

  • Ensure steady-state reliability and resilience across infrastructure services.
  • Oversee teams responsible for incident response, change management, network stability, and service continuity.
  • Lead and monitor SLAs, outage communications, and high-volume ticket environments to maintain enterprise confidence.

Financial & Vendor Leadership

  • Manage a large, enterprise-scale infrastructure budget spanning critical platforms and services.
  • Orchestrate and maximize value from complex, multi-year strategic vendor partnerships essential to enterprise performance.
  • Optimize spend through strategic sourcing and architecture decisions—not cost cutting, but value realization.

Leadership & Organization Development

  • Lead, scale, and mature a complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure organization through a period of significant transformation and change.
  • Build a strong leadership bench by coaching, developing, and empowering senior leaders, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Define and communicate an infrastructure vision tied to business outcomes, driving alignment and consistent execution across the enterprise.

Business Partnership & Influence

  • Serve as a trusted partner to Store Operations, Digital, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and HR organizations.
  • Challenge the status quo where appropriate, while decisively executing against agreed roadmaps.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of progressive leadership in IT infrastructure, transformation, and vendor management.
    • Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure modernization programs.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Data center architecture and migration.
    • Network and telecom in large, distributed retail or comparative environments.
    • Cloud platforms (Azure and AWS strongly preferred).
  • Leadership Profile:
    • Strong technologist who can coach, develop, and inspire leaders.
    • Able to articulate the “why”—business vision and benefits—not just the technology.
  • Financial Acumen:
    • Experience managing large capital and operating budgets across multiple cost centers.
  • Industry Experience:
    • Retail, multi-site, or high-volume transaction environments preferred.

Travel

  • 15–25% travel to regional and global offices.
