About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Salesforce is navigating a foundational shift in how the world understands the intersection of software and labor. We are moving beyond the era of isolated AI tools toward a unified, enterprise AI architecture where AI doesn't just assist but acts. The System of Engagement (Slack) and System of Agency (Agentforce) layers sit at the heart of this architecture, bringing together the collaboration layer where work happens and the autonomous AI agents that can reason, decide, and take action across voice, web, mobile, and messaging. As enterprises race to become AI-first, the ability to articulate how these two systems work together to transform how people and agents collaborate will be central to how Salesforce leads and defines the agentic era.

We are seeking a Senior Director of Communications to help lead the communication strategy for Slack as Salesforce's System of Engagement and Agentforce as the System of Agency — translating the power of autonomous AI agents and seamless human-agent collaboration into compelling stories for executives, customers, and the broader market. They will partner closely with product, product marketing, and executive leadership to position these platforms as the definitive infrastructure for AI-powered work. This leader will help own the cohesive communications strategy that connects these two systems in the market, ensuring Salesforce's story is clear, differentiated, and resonant.

The Role

You are a high-impact leader with the technical depth to understand the stack and the media narrative intuition to drive its adoption. You will partner closely with product engineering, product marketing, and senior leadership to ensure that Salesforce is recognized not just as the #1 AI CRM, but as the #1 AI Agent Platform.

Core Responsibilities
  • Devise and Execute the Strategic Narrative: Translate the high-level company vision into a multi-channel communications roadmap that explains the mechanics of the Agentic Enterprise through the System of Engagement, the System of Agency and the Salesforce Ecosystem.

  • Curate Influence: Identify and empower internal visionaries and pioneering leaders. You will manage the process of turning diverse perspectives into a chorus of voices that validates the shift toward agentic work.

  • Drive Outcome-Centric Storytelling: Lead the shift from feature-based external communications to outcome-based storytelling. You will produce the evidence and narratives that demonstrate how human-agent synergy scales impact across functional domains.

  • Maintain Technical Integrity: Serve as the bridge between product and the public, ensuring that complex concepts are simplified for the market without losing their technical authority or accuracy.

Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in communications or marketing at the intersection of enterprise software and emerging technology, with experience supporting major category-shift narratives.

  • Narrative Integrator: You have a proven ability to take disparate product lines and weave them into a clear, compelling narrative.

  • Agentic Fluency: You have a strong grasp of how autonomous agents change the user experience and can articulate the evolution.

  • Collaborative Leader: You are a skilled project orchestrator who can work across departments to identify subject matter experts and turn them into market-facing thought leaders.

  • Technical Literacy: You are comfortable talking shop with product and product marketing to understand the 4-layer architecture and can translate that knowledge into clear prose.

  • Execution Excellence: You thrive in high-stakes environments and are known for high agency—taking ownership of the mission and delivering results with precision.

  • Exceptional Judgment: You can navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape and provide sound counsel to product leaders on how to move audiences through evidence-based storytelling.

Unleash Your Potential

When you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life. Our benefits and resources support you to find balance and be your best, and our AI agents accelerate your impact so you can do your best. Together, we’ll bring the power of Agentforce to organizations of all sizes and deliver amazing experiences that customers love. Apply today to not only shape the future — but to redefine what’s possible — for yourself, for AI, and the world.
