Senior Director, Product Marketing - Application Security and Performance

Role
Are you a seasoned product marketing leader with a passion for cybersecurity and a drive transformation in the marketplace. Cloudflare is seeking an experienced and results-oriented individual to lead our application security and performance product marketing team. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to directly influence pipeline and revenue growth for our App services, introduce innovative use cases and products to market, and develop compelling messaging that drives new customer acquisition and expansion.
The application security and performance portfolio includes our full stack of app security and performance services from web application firewall, API Security, Bot Management, rate limiting, DDOS and client-side protection products. Successful candidates will have a passion for helping to build a better Internet by enabling new applications, including AI-enabled services and web properties to improve their security posture and provide excellent user performance and experience. You will have a drive to understand customer needs, dig into product details, and elevate our messaging to deliver solution-oriented, breakthrough initiatives. You will enjoy this role if you like working with fast-paced teams and having autonomy to drive your initiatives.
This role is a part of our Product Marketing team and reports into our Vice President of Solutions, Product and Technical Marketing. This will be a highly visible leadership role within the organization, which will have a significant impact on the long-term growth of the fast-growing Cloudflare business.
What You'll Get To Do In This Role

• Own go-to-market strategy and activities for application security and performance products.
• Lead and manage a small team of PMMs to execute the GTM plan for App Services.
• Understand and exploit the weaknesses of App Sec and Performance vendors as well as cloud providers,
• Evangelize Cloudflare products to analysts, prospects, and customers-in customer meetings, webinars, conferences and tradeshows.
• Be the voice of the product to the entire marketing team. Be the voice of the marketing team to the product management and CTO organization.
• Develop differentiated messaging for our application security and performance portfolio, and platform.
• Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive demand for application security and performance products, solutions and use cases.
• Provide support for the field sales teams in the form of sales plays and enablement for both mid-market and enterprise field and partner teams.
• Partner with our Analyst Relations and product management teams to establish Cloudflare as a security leader and application platform of choice for developing and delivering applications globally.

Qualifications
What we're looking for In you

• 8+ years of experience in product marketing/product management with at least 5 years in a security-focused role.
• Experience at one or more cyber security vendors. Knowledge of HTTP, OWASP, Bots, APIs..
• Success in positioning technical products to both technical users and economic decision makers.
• Excellent written and presentation skills. This role demands someone who is gifted in their ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including product management, sales, comms, and marketing.
• Management experience, team building and development skills.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate unforeseen obstacles gracefully.
• Self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative cloud services company.
• BS/BA degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field.

Compensation

• For San Francisco/ Bay Area hires salary range: $254,000 -$310,000
• For New York City hires salary range: $241,000 -$295,000
