Circle is committed to visibility and stability in everything we do. As we grow, we're expanding into some of the world's strongest jurisdictions, and our employees live by our company values: High Integrity, Future Forward, Multistakeholder, Mindful, and Driven by Excellence.
What you'll be responsible for
You will set and own the multi-year product strategy for Circle's onboarding, compliance, and risk platform, balancing the needs of internal stakeholders (Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations) with the requirements of external customers who consume these capabilities as a product. You will be accountable for the platform's regulatory soundness, operational scalability, and commercial viability, and for building, mentoring, and leading a team of product managers across the domain. This is a senior leadership role that sets direction for a portfolio, influences company-level roadmap and investment decisions, and represents the domain to executives, regulators, auditors, and enterprise partners.
What you'll work on
  • Define and own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the onboarding, KYC/KYB, compliance, and risk platform, spanning both internal tooling and externally exposed platform capabilities
  • Build and lead a high-performing product team, setting priorities, coaching PMs, and establishing the operating rhythm for the domain
  • Partner deeply with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Financial Crimes, and Operations to translate regulatory obligations (KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, sanctions, transaction monitoring) into scalable, automated product capabilities
  • Productize internal compliance and risk infrastructure into reliable, well-documented, externally facing platform services and APIs for partners
  • Drive the strategy for case management, risk scoring, entity screening, and monitoring systems, including how AI and automation reduce manual review and improve decision quality
  • Establish the metrics, SLAs, and controls that govern onboarding conversion, false-positive rates, review throughput, and risk coverage
  • Represent the platform to executive leadership, regulators, auditors, and enterprise customers, and align cross-functional stakeholders around trade-offs
  • Partner with Engineering and Data to ensure the platform scales securely across new products, jurisdictions, and customer segments

What you'll bring to Circle
  • Extensive product leadership experience, including building and leading product teams, in compliance, risk, identity, onboarding, or trust & safety domains at a fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure company
  • Deep, working understanding of the regulatory landscape - KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, sanctions/OWL screening, transaction monitoring, and the operational workflows that support them
  • Proven ability to deliver both internal platform infrastructure and externally facing, productized platform capabilities
  • Track record of setting strategy for a portfolio and driving execution from vision through measurable outcomes across multiple teams
  • Strong ability to lead through influence across technical, commercial, and regulatory stakeholders, up to and including the executive level
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, using data to prioritize investment and quantify risk and impact
  • Clear, concise executive communication and the judgment to navigate high-stakes, ambiguous decisions

Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in crypto, stablecoins, digital assets, or regulated financial infrastructure
  • Exposure to AI/automation applied to compliance, risk decisioning, or case management
  • Experience operating a platform used by external enterprise partners and developers
  • Familiarity operating across multiple regulatory jurisdictions
