About the Role

You will be responsible for leading complex analytical projects to improve Tricentis’ business performance.   The ideal candidate has a keen eye on seeing solutions in sprawling data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for improvement.

This role will work closely with the C-suite and leaders across product, sales, and marketing to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. He/she will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes. 

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the development of forecasting, target setting and predictive analytics 

  • Interface with business to frame strategic issues and path forward and align with key stakeholders 

  • Drive interaction between technical and business teams to ensure the value of data science and analytics is achieved 

  • Lead adoption of analytics-driven use cases and change management into the business 

  • Perform ad hoc deep-dive analysis on various performance metrics to provide additional insight into drivers 

  • Drive improvement in modeling infrastructure, framework, and process to standardize, automate, and scale up the model development and deployment 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated analytical ability with strong knowledge of data modeling and statistical analysis techniques, and ability to synthesize and analyze large volumes of complex information from multiple sources. 

  • Ability to structure unique problems and lead cross-functional teams in a way that enables the organization to make significant progress quickly 

  • Strong ability to manage ambiguity and guide the organization through it towards clear and decisive action plans 

  • Technical background in data science and proven ability to create and manage leading and lagging indicator dashboards for a large, complex organization 

  • Proficient in synthesizing complex data sets into easily understood and actionable insights and strategies 

  • Ability to understand and dissect P&L and other performance metrics leveraging multiple quantitative and qualitative data sources & analysis 

  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills 

  • Proven ability to establish credibility and influence executive-level stakeholders as well as the ability to work across boundaries and lead through influence 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 

  • Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills 

  • Self-starter with a strong ability to lead and develop a new team 

  • Experience in a startup-like environment and ability to foresee the needs of the organization, plan accordingly and direct the team to achieve quick wins and long-term success 

  • Professional attitude, service orientation, strong work ethic; superb team player 

  • Excels in nebulous environments where the path to address a problem is not always clear or direct 

  • Approaches every problem with an outside-in perspective first and does not allow the status quo to influence your analysis 

Education & Experience 

  • 8-12 years of business, analytical, and technical experience 

  • BS/BA in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent experience 

  • MS in Applied Statistics, Statistics, Computer Science, or advanced Math, Engineering 

  • Deep understanding of the full stack of modern data analytics, engineering, and modeling - including tools for batch and real time data collection, data storage, dashboarding, modeling, and deployment 

Travel 

  • Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%)
