Senior Director, Strategic MarketingAbout CoreStory

CoreStory is transforming how enterprises understand, modernize, and evolve software.

Our AI-powered platform analyzes millions of lines of source code and automatically generates the specifications, architecture, workflows, documentation, and business context that engineering teams need to modernize applications with confidence. By turning legacy code into structured intelligence, CoreStory enables organizations to accelerate modernization, reduce technical debt, and unlock AI-assisted software development.

We’re building a new category at the intersection of AI, software engineering, and enterprise modernization—and we’re looking for someone who wants to help define it.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly strategic marketer who is equally comfortable shaping executive messaging, briefing industry analysts, supporting enterprise sales, and creating the content that moves the business forward.

This is not a traditional marketing role focused on campaigns or demand generation.

This role offers a unique opportunity to help define an emerging category while working alongside experienced founders, enterprise customers, and industry leaders. You’ll have a direct impact on company strategy, product direction, and market perception—and the opportunity to grow alongside the business.

Success in this role requires someone who enjoys both thinking strategically and executing personally. You’ll be expected to create, influence, and deliver—not simply manage.

What You’ll DoShape CoreStory’s Market Position
  • Partner with executive leadership to refine CoreStory’s positioning, messaging, and category strategy and ensure our messaging evolves alongside the rapidly changing AI software landscape.
  • Monitor competitive, technology, and market trends to help shape company strategy.

Strategic Product Marketing

Working closely with Product leadership, you will:

  • Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling customer value and develop messaging for new product capabilities and releases.
  • Create executive presentations, solution narratives, and customer-facing collateral.
  • Gather market feedback that helps influence product direction.
Analyst Relations

Own CoreStory’s relationships with Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other industry influencers by:

  • Preparing executive briefings, coordinating analyst interactions and driving participation in industry research.
  • Helping position CoreStory as a category leader.
Strategic Sales Enablement

Partner with Sales leadership to:

  • Support strategic enterprise opportunities with executive presentations and account-specific messaging.
  • Build sales enablement assets that improve enterprise selling, including creating competitive positioning and objection-handling materials.
Executive Thought Leadership

Help establish CoreStory and its leadership team as recognized voices in enterprise AI by:

  • Writing executive content, including keynote presentations, and supporting media and speaking opportunities.
  • Creating white papers and technical thought leadership.
Partner Marketing Support

Collaborate with the Partnerships organization to:

  • Develop messaging for strategic technology and channel partners.
  • Support joint go-to-market initiatives, including creating partner enablement content.
  • Participate in executive partner engagements.
What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you’ll have:

  • Elevated CoreStory’s market positioning and messaging.
  • Built trusted relationships with leading industry analysts.
  • Improved the effectiveness of enterprise sales through stronger messaging and enablement.
  • Helped shape product direction through customer and market insights.
  • Increased CoreStory’s visibility as a thought leader in AI-powered software modernization.
  • Become a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise B2B software marketing, product marketing, strategy, or related leadership roles.
  • Exceptional ability to simplify complex technical concepts for executive audiences.
  • Experience working with software developers, architects, or engineering organizations.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience briefing industry analysts and engaging with enterprise customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across multiple organizations.
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Comfortable operating as both strategist and hands-on contributor.
Ideal Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

  • AI-powered software development
  • Application modernization
  • Developer platforms
  • Enterprise software infrastructure
  • DevOps and software delivery
  • Cloud platforms
  • Low-code or application development platforms
  • Software architecture and engineering tools

Experience at companies such as GitHub, GitLab, HashiCorp, OutSystems, Databricks, Atlassian, LaunchDarkly, MongoDB, Confluent, Microsoft, Red Hat, or similar enterprise technology companies is a plus.
