Summary of Position:

NVE is seeking a Senior Director / Vice President, Production to serve as a senior leader within the Production department, responsible for overseeing multiple teams, driving operational excellence, and ensuring consistent delivery across a diverse portfolio of work.

This role is critical to how Production operates at NVE, partnering cross-functionally to shape projects from the earliest stages, aligning teams and resources, and ensuring work is delivered with clarity, discipline, and quality.

The ideal candidate is a production leader who can scale teams, structure complex work, and drive accountability across projects, people, and financial outcomes.

Leveling Note: This role is open to candidates at both the Senior Director and Vice President level. Final leveling will be determined based on experience, leadership scope, and ability to drive strategic impact across the organization.

Role Priorities:

Lead Teams & Oversee Delivery

  • Oversee multiple production teams across projects, clients, and workstreams
  • Directly manage senior production talent (Directors, EPs, Senior Producers)
  • Ensure teams are structured effectively and set up for successful execution
  • Serve as a senior escalation point and provide guidance on complex or high-risk work

Shape Projects from the Start

  • Lead production involvement in early-stage planning and new business efforts 
  • Define:
    • Production approach
    • Budget frameworks
    • Staffing models
    • Execution strategy
  • Partner with Accounts, Strategy, and Creative to ensure ideas are both ambitious and executable

Drive Resourcing & Talent Strategy

  • Partner closely with Resourcing to:
    • Allocate teams effectively
    • Balance workload and utilization
    • Identify gaps and hiring needs
  • Play a key role in forecasting hiring needs, recruiting, casting, and developing production talent
  • Ensure the right teams are assigned to the right work

Own Financial Performance

  • Oversee financial health across assigned teams and projects
  • Ensure strong discipline in:
    • Budget development
    • Scope management
    • Staffing efficiency
  • Partner with Finance to improve forecasting and overall profitability

Partner on New Business & Growth

  • Act as a senior production lead on RFPs and pitch work
  • Translate creative concepts into clear, executable plans
  • Define budgets, timelines, and staffing approaches during the pitch process
  • Support growth of existing accounts through strong production leadership

Strengthen How Production Operates

  • Establish and reinforce production standards, processes, and best practices
  • Improve clarity and consistency across how work is scoped, staffed, and delivered
  • Help evolve Production into a proactive, strategic partner across the agency

(VP-Level Scope) Contribute to Department Strategy

  • Influence Production department structure and long-term planning
  • Partner with executive leadership on:
    • Org design
    • Resource strategy
    • Operational systems
  • Play a key role in shaping how Production supports agency growth and profitability

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple teams and project portfolios simultaneously
  • Lead and guide project scoping, budget development, and staffing strategy
  • Approve and refine resource allocation across projects
  • Serve as an escalation point for team and client challenges
  • Mentor and develop senior production talent
  • Partner cross-functionally to align on project strategy and execution
  • Support new business efforts through production leadership
  • Ensure consistent delivery against quality, timeline, and financial expectations

Qualifications:

  • 12–15+ years of experience in experiential production or live events
  • Proven experience leading multiple teams and senior production talent
  • Strong track record in scoping, budgeting, and staffing complex work
  • Experience contributing to or leading new business / pitch work
  • Experience scoping and overseeing complex projects of scale ($5M-$20M)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance across multiple projects
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience within a top-tier experiential or production agency
  • Exposure to both B2B and consumer-facing work
  • International production experience
  • Familiarity with resourcing and financial planning tools

Requirements: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time while working remotely and in a standing position 50% or more of the time while working offsite 
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Have a valid Driver’s License
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally heavier items
  • Available to work weekends and evenings as needed for events

Location: We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York. The ideal candidate is located in New York City, however, we will consider remote candidates for this role.

Salary Estimation: Senior Director: $170K – $200K / Vice President: $190K – $225K

NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented salary range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
