We're part of the Digital Supply Networks organization, building tools to empower our merchandising team to deliver the right products to our clients at the right time.
The Selection Product Team includes our Product Catalog, Buying Team and Selling, or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Team. The Selection team directs over $100 million in inventory investments, driving more than $1.3 billion in annualized revenue.They partner closely with merchandising, finance, and data science to design innovative tools that combine retail best practices with data science optimized for selling through our inventory, profitably, and delivering a delightful client experience.
Stitch Fix’s Merchandising Engineering team is looking for a thoughtful, empathetic, and people-first Senior Engineering Manager to join us. In this role, you will lead and grow high-performing engineering teams while owning and improving the end-to-end procurement journey—from product discovery and buying decisions to purchase orders and physical receipt in our warehouses.
You will mentor and develop engineers, set clear technical and execution standards, and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning. Our team builds platforms and tools that empower buyers, planners, pricing, and product lifecycle partners, and we measure success by the business impact we deliver.

- You have 4+ years of leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.

- You have a track record of building deep, effective partnerships across Business Partners, Product, and Data Science, partnering with leaders to shape direction as well as execution.
- You bring a data-driven mindset to problem-solving, grounding decisions in key business metrics and continuously evaluating impact and trade-offs.
- You have experience partnering with Product, Data Science teams to design, build, and evolve recommendation systems that surface relevant, high-quality product recommendations.
- You bring experience in the retail domain, including familiarity with third-party systems such as master data management (MDM), assortment planning, and ERP platforms.
- You have experience integrating internal platforms with best-in-class third-party systems, with a focus on scalability, data integrity, and long-term architectural health.
- You have experience running teams in an Agile environment.
- You have previously managed remote teams. We use GitHub, Slack, and video conferencing extensively to collaborate.
- You are flexible, dedicated, and curious.
- You believe in the craft of software engineering, but are pragmatic when necessary.
- You have a passion for mentoring and coaching engineers and managers.
- You have a track record of delivering features and functionality on time with high quality.

Compensation and Benefits
This role will receive a competitive salary, benefits, and equity. The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, location, and performance. This position is eligible for an annual bonus, and new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units, depending on employee and company performance.
