Job Description
We're looking for an experienced, driven Senior Enterprise Sales Leader to lead new business development across the APAC large insurance market. This is primarily a new-business hunting role: you'll prospect, build pipeline, and close net-new logos with large insurers, front to back office. You'll play a visible role in the growth of Clearwater's Insurance vertical in Asia and in the SaaS shift we're driving in the region.

You'll build a new-business pipeline from the ground up and own the end-to-end sales process: identifying pain points, positioning solutions, and leading calls, demos, executive meetings and conference engagement. You'll navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying committees and build trusted relationships from the investment desk up to the C-suite. You'll work closely with Pre-Sales, Business Development Reps and fellow Enterprise Sales colleagues while managing your own prospect and client relationships independently.

The ideal candidate is a hungry, self-starting hunter with a track record of exceeding net-new logo quota, and who is excited by the challenge of building Clearwater's presence in a growing market.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect and develop new business opportunities with large insurers across APAC.
  • Build and manage a robust new-business pipeline from prospecting through to close.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, engaging CIOs, CFOs, Heads of Investment Operations, Risk, Actuarial, Finance, IT and Procurement.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with prospects, executive sponsors and market influencers, understanding their infrastructure, requirements and challenges.
  • Map decision-makers and influencers, and align internal and external stakeholders to a clear path to close.
  • Conduct prospect meetings and needs discovery, and lead full product demos across relevant modules, reports and asset classes.
  • Develop expertise in the APAC insurance market, its regulatory landscape (e.g. HK Insurance Authority, MAS, IFRS 17) and Clearwater's value proposition.
  • Work closely with executive management and internal teams (Client Services, Marketing, Pre-Sales, Product) to ensure smooth handover from sale to implementation

Requirements

  • 10+ years of complex, enterprise new-business (hunting) sales experience, SaaS or fintech preferred, with a record of closing large, multi-stakeholder deals and exceeding net-new logo targets.
  • Strong understanding of the APAC insurance and institutional investment market, or a demonstrated ability to prospect and sell into it.
  • Stakeholder management: proven ability to build credibility and influence at C-level, manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, and align internal and client teams through long sales cycles.
  • Existing network within the Asian insurance and institutional investment community is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with HK and Singaporean regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
  • Strong presentation, writing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment.
  • High adaptability, including handling deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
  • Proactive use of sales tools such as Salesforce, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Claude Enterprise.
  • Fluent English required; additional Asian languages (e.g. Mandarin, Cantonese) are an advantage.
  • Based in Hong Kong, with regional travel as needed.
