About the Role:
As Senior Finance Manager for Consumer Financial Services (CFS), you will serve as the embedded Finance Leader. This role is for one of Remitly's highest-priority growth areas, which consists of a suite of products designed to enable customers to borrow, save, and spend through Remitly. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will be a true strategic partner to the VP of CFS. You will also partner with the GMs of each product line, helping to build and launch the financial products. These products will define Remitly's next chapter.
This is a builder's role. You will help shape new products from the ground up, establishing the financial frameworks and underlying unit economics necessary to drive sustainable growth. We're looking for a seasoned finance leader with deep expertise in credit and payments. You will have to operate as a genuine thought partner to the business leaders they support, influencing strategy and driving outcomes. You must have a deep sense of mutual accountability.
This is a hybrid role is located in Arlington, VA and requires 3+ days a week onsite at our office there.
You Will:
- Serve as the Finance Leader for the CFS organization, providing day-to-day financial partnership and strategic guidance to the GMs and their delivery teams
- Build and maintain unit economics models, business cases, and financial frameworks for new consumer financial products
- Partner with GMs and product leaders to evaluate new opportunities, shape product structures, and ensure sound economics
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance tracking for the CFS portfolio, delivering insights that drive better product and investment decisions
- Define and track the key financial and product metrics that matter — building visibility and accountability into how each product is growing, performing, and scaling
- Influence product design, go-to-market strategy, and roadmap prioritization through rigorous financial analysis and deep credit and payments expertise
- Build and grow a finance team in Arlington as the CFS business scales, developing talent and establishing scalable processes
- Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Treasury and central FP&A to ensure financial integrity, operational alignment, and sound governance across all CFS initiatives
You Have:
- 7+ years of experience in strategic finance or FP&A, with significant hands-on experience supporting credit, lending, or payments products — ideally in a FinTech or consumer financial services environment
- Deep expertise in credit product economics, including unit economics modeling for consumer lending, debit, or similar products
- A proven builder's mindset: experience launching new financial products or standing up finance functions from early stage through scale
- A track record of deep, outcome-oriented partnership with business leaders — not just reporting on results, but taking shared ownership of them
- Deep experience in financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear recommendations that drive decisions
- Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy and cross-functional teams through financial expertise and credibility
- Experience building and developing a high-performing finance team

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $152,000-$190,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
