Build your future with Sovos.

If you're seeking a career where innovation meets impact, you've come to the right place. As a global leader, Sovos is transforming tax compliance from a business requirement to a force for growth while revolutionizing how businesses navigate the ever-changing regulatory landscape.

At Sovos, we're dedicated to more than just solving compliance challenges – we're committed to making a positive and lasting difference in everything we do. Our teams operate on the modern edge of digital technology, working not only to solve complex business challenges but also to enrich our personal, professional, and local communities.

Our purpose-built systems provide the tools you need to thrive in a world where governments demand increased visibility, faster reporting and greater control over business processes. Excited about the possibilities? So are we!

Don't worry if you don't check all the boxes – apply anyway! We're focused on hiring the right people, not just the "right" resume. It's not about what you've done elsewhere; it's all about what you're capable of doing here.

The Work You'll Do:

As a Senior Financial Analyst you'll play a central role in shaping how Sovos understands and plans for its financial future. Sitting within our Financial Planning & Analysis team, you'll support the forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes that guide strategic decisions across the organization.

This is a role for someone who loves connecting the dots between data and strategy—turning spreadsheets into stories that leadership can act on. You'll collaborate across functions, build financial models that matter, and contribute to the reporting that reaches our Board of Directors. If you're energized by working in a fast-moving, Private Equity-backed SaaS environment where your analyses directly influence business outcomes, this is your opportunity.

More specifically, you will:

  • Drive execution of monthly financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range planning activities
  • Partner with Accounting to maintain consistency between budgets, forecasts, and reported financials
  • Deliver insightful reporting, presentations, and variance analyses (ARR, revenue, expense, and more) to senior leadership in support of business reviews and performance management
  • Understand the drivers behind financial results and clearly communicate the "story" around the numbers to stakeholders
  • Ensure overall financials are accurate and that the financial narrative is well-represented
  • Project manage monthly Operational Review and Board of Directors reporting processes, ensuring deadlines are met across teams and leadership levels
  • Build alignment with business leaders to inform financial forecasts and support achievement of business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and accuracy within key financial systems (Adaptive, Keystone, NetSuite, and others)
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain integrated financial models and processes
  • Lead ad hoc analyses to support strategic and operational initiatives as they arise
  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance financial modeling, streamline analyses, and accelerate insight generation

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting; MBA is a plus
  • 4+ years of experience in a finance role, ideally within Private Equity-backed SaaS companies
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, GRR, and others), forecasting methodologies, and financial modeling best practices
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and pivot tables
  • Hands-on experience with Adaptive, NetSuite, Tableau, Salesforce, and MS Office
  • Working knowledge of GAAP to ensure forecasts reconcile with reported results
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, actionable insights
  • Comfort working with AI tools to enhance productivity and analytical capabilities
  • Preferred time zone: Eastern or Central
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
