ABOUT THE ROLE

As Senior Financial Analyst at Accela you will be responsible for providing analytical insight to company performance across multiple functions.  In this role you will support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis as well as provide critical data modeling and reconciliation for monthly management reporting.  Additionally you will own and maintain the finance forecasting system to enable data-based decision-making process at the company.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally with business intelligence to drive automation in our management reporting. A strong sense of ownership and a attention to detail is crucial for success in role.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and refine detailed financial models that forecast and analyze functional costs in order to fully understand sources of variances and to improve forecast accuracy
  • Lead monthly close processes from Corporate FP&A POV, including owning corp calendar and forecast templates
  • Own and maintain Adaptive to ensure accuracy at all times
  • Help prepare monthly & quarterly management reporting, analyze financial results, and communicate key messages to senior management
  • Identify, measure, and communicate key performance metrics
  • Build and maintain relationship with cross-functional teams to synthesize and integrate updates relating to variances in actual activity relative to budgets and forecasts
  • Support executive management by providing timely ad hoc reporting on critical issues
  • Work well in a team environment with changing requirements and competing priorities
  • Actively seek, participate in, and/or drive the development and implementation of process improvements
  • Must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours

Travel

  • Minimal and as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Workday Adaptive experience a must, preferably in an admin capacity
  • Experience in financial modeling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized, detail oriented self-starter
  • Strong analytical focus with business modeling and forecasting experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Salesforce, NetSuite, and Power BI experience highly desirable

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$120,000 (less applicable taxes). The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
