Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This individual will report to the Senior Manager, FP&A and will be responsible for managing expenses, providing financial insights to drive business decisions, and ensuring accurate planning and forecasting. The role also includes ownership of the company’s planning and forecasting tool, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and continuous process improvement. 

What you will do:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting 
    • Lead the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of various functions. 
    • Partner with department leaders to develop annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts. 
    • Maintain rolling forecasts by incorporating actual results, trend analysis, and business updates. 
    • Provide variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) with clear commentary and actionable insights. 
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting 
    • Develop and present monthly/quarterly financial reports to department leaders and senior management. 
    • Identify cost drivers, efficiency opportunities, and risks across supported functions. 
    • Track headcount, vendor spend, and key cost categories to improve visibility and accountability. 
    • Support ad-hoc financial modeling, scenario planning, and decision support for strategic initiatives. 
  • Business Partnership 
    • Build strong relationships with leaders in various teams to align financial goals with business strategies. 
    • Provide financial guidance to non-finance stakeholders to improve budget ownership and decision-making. 
    • Act as a trusted advisor by translating financial data into clear business implications. 
  • Planning Tool Management 
    • Serve as the system owner for the company’s planning and forecasting tool (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, or equivalent). 
    • Maintain and update financial models, hierarchies, and reporting structures within the tool. 
    • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timely updates across all modules. 
    • Partner with FP&A and IT teams to drive system enhancements, automation, and process improvements. 


What you will bring to SmithRx:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 
  • 4–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance. 
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. 
  • Proficiency with financial systems and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with a planning tool (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Oracle PBCS) required. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience in healthcare or health-tech is a plus.
