Job Description:

Movoto, part of the Lower family, is currently hiring for a Senior Front-End Software Engineer! We highly value a thirst for learning, the ability to collaborate, and passion for our customers. What you’ll do:

• Be part of a talented engineering team to build a compelling digital experience that engages with consumers who are in the process of making important purchasing decisions

• Write code, write a lot of code, write better code while you are at it

• Participate in building a strong culture that values learning and collaboration

• Participate in requirement analysis, design, development, testing and implementation activities.

• Propose new techniques and technologies for software development.

• Perform code reviews and recommend improvements.

• Work to complete assigned development tasks within deadlines.

• Work in compliance with coding standards and best practices.

• Review business requirements and recommend changes to develop reliable applications.

• Develop coding documentation and other technical specifications for assigned projects when asked.

Who you are:

• 5+ years of hands on development experience 

• Strong communication skills

• An appetite to learn the craft of software development

• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, or other front-end technologies

• Comfortable with relational databases and SQL

• Computer Science or other technical degree (or equivalent job experience)

• Experience building a consumer web application

• Experience building maintainable systems supported by automated tests
