ABOUT THE TEAM 🤝

The Partnerships & Martech Team is one of our more impactful teams. This team is responsible for driving user acquisition, accelerating our marketing and partnerships teams, and managing the analytics systems that help the business make strategic decisions.

This team sits at the intersection of Software Engineering, Growth Marketing, and Partnerships, empowering data-driven decision making across the organization by directly fueling our growth engine.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL:

  • Make key decisions for the future of our Partnerships systems that balance technical concerns with business concerns.
  • Work closely with the Growth Marketing team to optimize their workflows and build tools that improve our operational efficiency while maintaining an excellent user experience.
  • Develop with TypeScript across the stack, building user interfaces using React and building back-ends in Node & GraphQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand nuanced business needs and communicate technical complexity and tradeoffs clearly when requirements evolve.
  • Architect scalable solutions that may differ from initial requests but better serve the underlying business objectives and long-term technical sustainability.
  • Own the full lifecycle of Partnerships & Martech technology, from initial planning and development through ongoing production maintenance and optimization.

ABOUT YOU 🦄

  • You have 7+ years of professional experience working with some combination of Node/TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Postgres (or similar relational database).
  • You have production experience with CRMs (ex: Braze), analytics platforms (ex: Segment, GTM, Amplitude), or marketing MMPs (ex: Singular).
  • You're not just interested in what you're building, but also why you're building it. You want to see the bigger picture of how the software you're building is benefitting our users.
  • You understand observability and enjoy digging into the details to solve performance and user experience issues.
  • When you solve problems, you strive to model the data in a way that allows other teams to easily understand how the business is performing.
  • You’re motivated to understand non-technical workflows, in order to fulfill the needs of the teams you support, regardless of whether team members can articulate those needs.
  • You're both a student and a teacher, continually seeking to grow as an engineer and help those around you grow as well.
  • You thrive in a growing organization, and are not afraid of a challenging problem. In fact, you confront problems head on and take the lead on the solution.
