House Rx is on a mission to make specialty medications more affordable and accessible for patients suffering from chronic illnesses like cancer and autoimmune disorders. We provide clinics with specialized technology and support from pharmacists and care coordinators to dispense medication directly to their patients, known as medically integrated dispensing (MID). We are expanding our product team to help fuel our next phase of growth — keep reading to learn more about the role, our team, and why House Rx is the right next step in your career!

About The Role

Our engineering team is scaling quickly and we’re looking to add a Senior Full Stack Engineer  to the pod that owns our core pharmacy management platform, which powers the key workflows across our product. Your decisions and code will directly shape the platform, and every improvement you make touches the entire product and the people using it. You’ll be given the autonomy to lead initiatives, and set engineering standards while building high-quality, maintainable systems.

 What You’ll Do

  • Lead and deliver: Take ownership of full stack projects from design through deployment, with timelines of 4 - 6 weeks. You’ll be responsible for leading delivery of significant projects that are reliable, maintainable with high quality and adherence.
  • Drive the core PMS platform: Build and maintain APIs, backend services, and database-driven features that power the core platform. Shape architecture, enforce design principles, and maintain high standards for reliability and scalability.
  • Set the bar: Champion automated testing, code quality, and best practices across your pod and the broader engineering org.
  • Drive impact: Quickly understand the systems you own and start deploying meaningful code within 30 days. Within 60 days, take ownership of pod-level projects and deliver them successfully. Within 90 days, contribute to shaping the roadmap to improve quality, reliability, and process..

About You

You are an experienced full-stack generalist, known for building complex features, driving impactful projects across the stack, and helping others grow through mentorship.

  • Experienced full-stack engineer with a slight backend/database leaning focus and strong API-building skills.
  • ~7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience. TypeScript and React are core tools, but your backend and database experience is a focus point.
  • Deep understanding of REST APIs -  able to design, implement, and explain the semantics of REST verbs and status codes.
  • Ability to break down complex product requirements and UI designs into manageable tasks and ultimately deliver intuitive, high-performance UIs.
  • Experience in late-stage startups or similarly fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
  • Passion for testing, automation, and technical excellence.
  • Thrives as a strong IC with the desire to grow toward staff/tech lead level.
  • Bias for action. You move initiatives forward, driving pods with strong design principles and pragmatic solutions.

In particular, we offer:

  • Flexible work hours and flexible paid time off
  • Generous parental leave
  • Comprehensive healthcare, vision and dental benefits
  • Competitive salary and equity stake

Expected Full-Time Base Salary: $160,000 - $200,000+

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary/wage. The actual base salary/wage will depend on several factors, including experience, knowledge, and skills. Actual compensation packages may include other elements equity, paid time off and benefits.

We’re backed by forward-thinking investors committed to transforming healthcare, including Bessemer Venture Partners, First Round Capital, LRV Health, Khosla Ventures, Maverick Ventures, 1984.vc, and Character.
