Freese and Nichols is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to join our Fort Worth or Austin, Texas office. As Senior GIS Analyst, you will be a member of our corporate Business Technology team. You will primarily manage our ArcGIS Online account, ArcGIS portal, member roles and permissions, monitoring ESRI updates and newly released technologies, administrative AGOL console management, and AEC Project Delivery sites.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing data within these systems, maintaining base maps and layers, protecting data by utilizing security controls such as least privileged access, versioning, patch management, as well as data life cycle, organization, and cleanup
- Being a primary solutions provider of current and new corporate GIS, BIM integration, remote sensing, GeoAI, machine learning, and deep learning ArcGIS tools, cloud web map/app design, and database management initiatives
- Innovate and develop new technologies, support and test field work/remote sensing data collection, drones, and terrestrial Lidar scanning. Post-process data, develop documentation workflows, and manage the Authoritative GIS Data Plan to ensure data quality, accessibility, and effective utilization.
- Supporting corporate initiatives in identifying, evaluating, and implementing future technologies aligned with AEC practices including areas of GIS, water, stormwater, planning, and construction services
- Helping others identify the right GIS analysis tools to solve problems for both internal and external clients
- Serving as ambassador of our Corporate GIS governance for both internal and external system infrastructure and architecture, while providing innovative solutions to solve complex daily challenges

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications (Master's degree counts as 1 year of experience)
Preferred
- Advanced knowledge of ArcGIS Online (implementation and administrative), ArcGIS Enterprise management, database Management (ESRI and Open Source), ArcGIS Pro with extensions, web map design for data collection, GIS web app design and cloud environment spatial database development
- Understanding of the ArcGIS Online and Enterprise platform from a corporate role, focusing on security, data management, storage capabilities, networking, roles and responsibilities, personnel privileges, web services, cloud computing, etc.
- Database design, working with ESRI File Geodatabases and Database Management Systems (DBMS), and Spatial Database Engine (SDE)
- Knowledge of working in the cloud environment with ESRI ArcGIS platform, Amazon AWS, and Azure
- GISP Certification (or working to obtain GISP)
