The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior GNC Engineer who thrives in a fast moving environment where ideas quickly become real flights. This is a role for someone who wants to write flight software, analyze logs, tune controllers, support flight testing and see their work fly every week. You will work across controls estimation simulation and field testing and you will play a key part in improving reliability and performance for real customers in real conditions.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze improve and implement flight control and state estimation algorithms
  • Build and refine simulation tools that support flight software development
  • Investigate system behavior using flight logs and develop solutions based on real evidence
  • Support flight operations with configuration work pre flight preparation and post flight analysis
  • Create and execute flight test plans and evaluate results with the team
  • Write high quality safety focused code that improves aircraft performance and reliability
  • Review code and influence engineering discipline and software quality across the team
  • Work directly with the aircraft to validate changes and understand real world behavior

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering Robotics or a related field
  • Strong understanding of control systems and aircraft or rotorcraft dynamics
  • Experience with state estimation sensor fusion or filtering techniques
  • Proficiency with simulation or modeling tools and numerical analysis
  • Strong software fundamentals in C++ Python testing and continuous integration
  • Ability to analyze logs identify root causes and present findings clearly
  • Comfort working hands on with hardware and participating in regular field testing

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with UAVs or robotics in real environments
  • Background in simulation toolchains or hardware in the loop testing
  • Experience tuning controllers or troubleshooting flight behavior
  • Familiarity with data analysis system identification or large telemetry sets
