LOCATION:

The Senior Growth Manager is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm). Some travel is required, for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.

THE ROLE:

Acceleration Partners is seeking a Senior Growth Manager to drive partner growth strategies for some of our largest and most complex client programs. In this role, you will identify, develop, and scale high-impact partnerships that drive measurable revenue growth and help clients achieve their business objectives. You will shape recruitment, activation, and optimization strategies, uncover emerging growth opportunities, and influence partnership roadmaps beyond traditional affiliate models.

TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Revenue:

  • Publisher & Partner Performance: Contributes to client growth and retention by building high-potential partner relationships and optimizing performance. Prioritizes the client’s most strategically important partner relationships and is trusted to make judgment calls on where to invest time without needing direction.
  • Performance Trackers & Reporting: Follows client-approved processes for paid placements and partner optimizations. Uses reporting effectively, translating data into a clear story that shows clients not just what happened, but why it matters and what to do next. Often defines or improves that process rather than just following it.
  • Subject Matter Expert Across the Partnership Landscape: Is a trusted, knowledgeable resource on partner relationships and client verticals. Recognized as an SME not just on their own accounts but across the department.

Business Development and Publisher Relationships:

  • Proactive Research: Identifies and recruits high-quality partners with strong revenue potential. Regularly pursues more complex, or non-traditional partnership opportunities independently.
  • Written and Verbal Communication: Communications are clear, informative, and engaging.
  • Initiative: Proactively identifies and executes areas of opportunity and optimization to drive revenue growth. Leads end-to-end negotiations with an appropriate level of autonomy and collaboration.

  Top Partner Management

  • Relationship Management: Optimizes opportunities with top partners on behalf of the client. [Senior] Manages the most strategically important and/or highest-value partner relationships in the portfolio and negotiates complex terms independently.
  • Budget Management: Identifies and acts on opportunities that drive client growth while maintaining a healthy return on investment. Operates with wider latitude on ROI trade-off decisions given demonstrated judgment.
  • Time Management: Demonstrates exceptional calendar and time management skills.

Strategy and Execution:

  • Alignment to Client Strategy and Goals: Participates in engagement kickoff calls and ongoing calls as needed; maintains a clear understanding of client goals and KPIs.
  • Creation and Ongoing Ownership of Partner Strategy: Builds a recruitment and/or paid placement plan end-to-end, based on client goals and KPIs. Independently owns this process and often shapes the process/best practices other Growth Managers follow.
  • Strategy Pivots: Adapts and pivots strategies to reach client goals. Trusted to reset client expectations directly, including navigating difficult conversations, without requiring senior support at each step.
  • Internal Support & Mentorship: Collaborates with the Senior Account Manager and Program Director on upskilling around partner recruitment and optimization. Provides hands-on, direct support to team members on publisher best practices, and in some cases builds their knowledge of specific verticals or sectors.

  Pitching Opportunities:

  • Client Education and Alignment: Clearly articulates the “why” behind each opportunity and its expected value, including anticipated ROI.
  • Persuasiveness: Regularly develops and delivers persuasive pitches that secure larger or less conventional opportunities.
  • Partnership Ecosystem Knowledge: Maintains deep knowledge across partnership types. Recognized expertise others actively seek out.
  • Tenacity: Has a track record of overcoming objections. Coaches other Growth Managers on how to handle rejection productively.

By 6 Months

You've established yourself as a trusted strategic advisor to clients and built strong relationships with key partners across the affiliate ecosystem. You possess a deep understanding of client objectives, growth opportunities, and emerging partner models, allowing you to proactively shape recruitment and partnership strategies rather than simply execute against them. You consistently identify, evaluate, and activate high-impact partnership opportunities that drive measurable revenue and incremental growth. Your insights and market expertise help clients stay ahead of industry trends, and you are regularly sought out for recommendations on how to evolve their partnership mix and growth strategy.

By 1 Year

You're recognized as a subject matter expert and growth leader, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue and recruitment goals across your portfolio. You have developed scalable processes, frameworks, and best practices that improve team performance. Through a combination of strategic partner development, innovative activation planning, and strong cross-functional collaboration, you drive significant client growth and help shape long-term partnership roadmaps. You are known for uncovering new and emerging partner opportunities, successfully expanding clients into non-traditional partnership models, and delivering growth initiatives that create lasting business impact for both clients and AP.

QUALITIES OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Growth-oriented and energized by identifying, pursuing, and closing new opportunities, equally motivated to find new partnerships and deepen existing ones, with a proven track record.
  • Natural relationship builder who proactively creates opportunities and strengthens relationships for clients and partners.
  • Enjoys building persuasive, data-grounded pitches for opportunities that aren’t obvious or conventional.
  • Strong aptitude for shaping partner strategy independently, without needing a playbook handed to them.
  • Self-starter who pursues opportunities of every size and complexity, and follows through without needing to be chased.
  • Builds trust fast, with partners, clients, and internal stakeholders, even in ambiguous or high-stakes situations.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a remote environment, exercising sound judgment with minimal oversight.
  • Communicates with confidence, poise, and clarity in front of client leadership and in high-stakes moments.
  • Exercises mature, independent judgment on when to escalate versus solve it themselves, and is trusted to get that call right.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • 5–8 years of partnership/channel marketing experience. Affiliate marketing background required; direct exposure to creator partnerships, AEO, or retail media is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of independently closing larger or more complex deals, not just managing existing relationships.
  • Proven excellence in consistently meeting or exceeding revenue/recruitment targets at a senior level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including experience presenting to clients.
  • Knowledge of affiliate networks, including Impact, Partnerize, CJ, and Awin.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for client meetings, industry conferences, and events
