The Senior Human Resources Business Partner, U.S. Sales & Leadership Development serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to commercial leadership, aligning people strategies with business growth objectives and revenue priorities. This role provides both strategic and hands-on Human Resources leadership to support a high-performing, performance-driven sales organization while advancing leadership capability across the enterprise. Leveraging strong business acumen, executive presence, and deep understanding of sales organizations and commercial drivers, the Senior HR Business Partner influences leaders at all levels to drive organizational effectiveness and sustainable business results.
Partnering closely with U.S. Sales leadership, the Senior HR Business Partner leads workforce planning, organizational design, talent strategy, performance management, employee relations, and change management initiatives that support revenue growth and operational success. The role collaborates cross-functionally to develop and support compensation, incentive, and recognition programs that reinforce sales performance and accountability. Through strategic thinking, problem solving, and data-driven decision making, the Senior HR Business Partner analyzes talent and business trends to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and implement solutions that improve engagement, retention, productivity, and overall team performance. Success in this role is demonstrated through high-performing U.S. Sales teams that consistently meet or exceed revenue targets, improved retention and engagement of top sales talent, and recognition as a trusted advisor and key contributor to business strategy.
Equally critical to this position is the leadership and execution of enterprise-wide leadership development initiatives designed to strengthen leadership effectiveness and build organizational capability. Drawing on expertise in leadership coaching, facilitation, succession planning, and talent development, the Senior HR Business Partner develops scalable programs and targeted learning experiences that accelerate high-potential talent and strengthen leadership pipelines, with a particular emphasis on commercial and sales leadership roles. The role drives measurable improvements in leader effectiveness, organizational readiness, and bench strength by implementing modern leadership frameworks and fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous development. Success is reflected in a strong bench of ready-now leaders and leadership development programs that deliver meaningful and measurable business impact.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Senior HR Business Partnership – U.S. Sales (50%)

  • Partner directly with U.S. Sales leadership to align people strategies with revenue goals and commercial priorities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational design, sales structure, territory alignment, and workforce planning
  • Support sales performance by driving effective performance management practices, including goal setting, calibration, and accountability
  • Advise on compensation, incentives, and recognition strategies in partnership with Total Rewards
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, ensuring consistent and compliant practices in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Analyze talent data (attrition, productivity, engagement) to identify trends and recommend actionable solutions
  • Lead change management efforts related to go-to-market strategies, sales transformations, and growth initiatives
  • Partner with leaders to attract, retain, and develop top sales talent

Leadership Development (50%)

  • Lead the design process and execution of enterprise-wide leadership development initiatives
  • Facilitate leadership programs, with a focus on front-line sales leaders through senior leadership
  • Provide 1:1 coaching to Sales leaders and high-potential talent to enhance leadership effectiveness and drive results
  • Own and drive succession planning processes, with emphasis on critical commercial roles
  • Partner with executives to identify and accelerate development of high-potential leaders
  • Assess leadership capability gaps and implement targeted development solutions
  • Establish and track metrics to measure leadership effectiveness and program impact
  • Introduce modern, scalable leadership frameworks and learning experiences

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HRBP roles supporting sales or commercial organizations
  • Proven experience supporting high-growth or performance-driven sales teams
  • Strong expertise in leadership development, executive coaching, and talent strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior and executive-level stakeholders
  • Experience with sales compensation and incentive structures strongly preferred
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people strategy to revenue outcomes
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and consulting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional coaching certification (e.g., ICF)
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, or regulated industries
  • Familiarity with leadership assessments (e.g., 360 feedback, Hogan, Korn Ferry)
