Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Implementation Lead, a strategic, client-facing leader responsible for the successful delivery of Medispend’s Commercial Compliance suite, including Global Spend Transparency and Stakeholder Engagement solutions.
This role owns the end-to-end implementation lifecycle—from project initiation through go-live and transition to Customer Success—ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with regulatory and operational requirements. The Senior Implementation Lead serves as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, Product, Engineering, Compliance SMEs, and Managed Services teams.
The ideal candidate combines strong project governance expertise with hands-on configuration experience and a deep understanding of compliance-driven SaaS implementations within the life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation Leadership & Governance
- Lead multiple concurrent enterprise implementations across the Commercial Compliance portfolio.
- Establish and maintain structured project governance, including steering committees, status reporting, RAID logs, and milestone tracking.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, and resource allocations.
- Proactively identify risks, scope changes, and cross-functional dependencies; implement mitigation strategies.
- Own accountability for delivery milestones, ensuring alignment with contractual scope and regulatory requirements.
Client Partnership & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as primary implementation lead and trusted advisor to client Compliance, Legal, Finance, Medical Affairs, and IT stakeholders.
- Facilitate discovery workshops to translate business and regulatory requirements into system configurations.
- Manage client expectations with clarity, transparency, and executive-ready communication.
- Build long-term client relationships that support retention and expansion.
Functional & Technical Delivery
- Lead and perform hands-on configuration of Medispend Commercial Compliance solutions.
- Coordinate integrations (e.g., ERP, Concur, CRM, S2P, HCP data sources) in partnership with Engineering.
- Oversee data mapping, migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Review development enhancements and perform QA/UAT oversight prior to release.
- Ensure alignment between Transparency and Stakeholder Engagement modules for seamless data flow.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management on enhancement requests and regulatory updates.
- Collaborate with Engineering to prioritize technical deliverables and resolve defects.
- Support Customer Success and Managed Services teams during transition and stabilization.
- Contribute to implementation playbooks, templates, and process standardization efforts.
Training & Enablement
- Deliver client product demonstrations and administrator training sessions.
- Develop implementation documentation and knowledge artifacts.
- Support internal enablement and mentoring of junior implementation team members.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience leading SaaS software implementations in life sciences or other regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex, multi-workstream enterprise projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial compliance frameworks (e.g., Open Payments, EFPIA, FMV governance, HCP engagement processes) preferred.
- Experience with system integrations, data migration, and configuration in cloud-based environments.
- Bachelor’s degree required; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, Zendesk.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or Source-to-Pay integrations preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
This position is fully remote, with limited travel that may be required for occasional team meetings, training sessions, or business events. Work is performed primarily in a home-office environment using standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone. Employees are expected to maintain a safe, ergonomic, and confidential workspace with reliable high-speed internet access suitable for professional remote work.
The role generally requires extended periods of sitting, viewing a computer screen, and communicating through written and verbal means. Occasional light physical activity (e.g., lifting materials or equipment up to 20 pounds) may be necessary.
