We are looking for a thoughtful, well-rounded Senior iOS engineer to join our team, and help build the tools artists on Spotify use to understand and grow their audience. You will play a leading role in our mobile engineering practice, implementing new features, improving performance, and building appealing user interfaces to bring data on artists’ performance on the Spotify client to life.
What You’ll Do
- Build and improve iOS features that make Spotify for Artists, an excellent tool for artists and their teams to gain insights about their audience and plan for the future.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary, full stack team of engineers, product managers, and designers to develop features from concept to release.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards.
- Collaborate on technical investigations and architecture improvements for the Spotify for Artists mobile app.
- Take ownership of tasks, from feature development to debugging and optimization.
Who You Are
- You have a deep understanding of modern iOS development, including extensive experience with Swift, UIKit and familiarity or curiosity with SwiftUI.
- You enjoy working collaboratively in mixed-discipline teams (iOS, Android, Web, Data, Design, Product).
- You value clear communication, exchanging ideas, and continuous improvement.
- You’re curious, proactive, and open to experimenting with new technologies.
- You’re interested in how AI can improve workflows and know when to use it to move faster.
- You bring empathy and user focus to every product decision.
- Bonus points: you have experience with analytics applications or data visualization, or you have some T-shaped experience in Android or backend development.
Where You’ll Be
- This role is based in New York.
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
The United States base range for this position is $160,091 - $228,702 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. This range encompasses multiple levels. Leveling is determined during the interview process. Placement in a level depends on relevant work history and interview performance. These ranges may be modified in the future.
