Position Summary:

The Sr. Engineer – Salesforce Development is responsible for custom development, integrations, automation, and DevOps within the Salesforce ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in designing, developing, and maintaining IT solutions and ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of systems, applications, and infrastructure while driving innovation and operational efficiency. This position also requires strong leadership capabilities to mentor team members, foster collaboration, and support the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep technical expertise, a passion for automation, and the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Mentor engineers by providing technical guidance, fostering collaboration, and supporting professional development.
• Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions and integrations using Apex, Visualforce, LWC, and automation tools such as Flow, Process Builder, and Apex triggers.
• Configure and customize Salesforce environments, including workflows, security models, roles, profiles, sharing rules, reports, and dashboards.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes using tools such as Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, and Git for version control.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues, performing root cause analysis and ensuring long-term stability and performance.
• Apply best practices for data management, security, scalability, and reliability across systems and integrations.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, including code reviews, technical collaboration, and solution design to support business and technology initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, engineering designs, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Track KPIs and SLAs, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for improvement through analytics and monitoring tools.
• Align technical solutions with business goals, manage priorities and deliverables, and serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Additional duties may be assigned as business needs evolve

Qualifications and Competencies Required To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Experience:
• Experience with Salesforce data modeling, architecture, and adherence to Salesforce design best practices.
• Proficiency with Salesforce automation tools, including Flow, Process Builder, and Apex automations.
• Skilled in designing and implementing frameworks and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Proficient in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and JavaScript.
• Experienced with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi, and SQL.
• Knowledgeable in DevOps and CI/CD processes using Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, and version control systems.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security models, including roles, profiles, and sharing rules.
• Proficient in testing and performance optimization, including Apex test classes and Jest (preferred).
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PDI)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT engineering, with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining IT solutions.

Additional Requirements:
• Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
• Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
• Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications Preferred:
• Master Degree in STEM or Business a plus Prior Experience in Financial Services or Auto Lending a plus
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (PDII)
• Salesforce Certified DevOps Engineer
• Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I
• Salesforce Certified Application Architect

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
