Team & Role

As a Senior IT Systems Engineer at Benepass, you’ll design, automate, and scale the systems that power our internal operations and employee experience. You’ll manage and evolve our SaaS ecosystem, identity platforms, and endpoint management tools, ensuring everything “just works” while remaining secure, efficient, and automated.

Reporting to the Head of Infosec & GRC, you’ll own our identity lifecycle, device management, and SaaS administration. You’ll define IT processes, evaluate new tooling, and work cross-functionally with Engineering, People Operations, and Security to ensure smooth onboarding, reliable access, and efficient systems management.

You’re an integrator and builder at heart - someone who thrives on creating automated, elegant solutions for complex operational challenges. You bring a systems mindset to IT, balancing business needs, user experience, and governance.

Role Location & Travel

This remote role is based in the United States or Canada. You will be expected to attend company-wide on-site events three to four times per year, as well as occasional on-site office travel as necessary.

About You
  • SaaS Management Leader: Deep experience managing SaaS ecosystems (e.g., Google Workspace, Okta, Zoom, Slack, Notion, etc.), with a focus on automation, licensing optimization, and integration.

  • Identity & Access Management: Skilled in Okta Administration, including Identity Governance, Lifecycle Management, and Workflows, enabling automated provisioning and access control.

  • Device Management & Automation: Proficient in JAMF and Google Workspace administration, ensuring consistent configuration, compliance, and deployment.

  • Process Engineer: Experienced in designing scalable IT processes, including: systems provisioning, onboarding/offboarding workflows, ticketing, asset management, and documentation that grows with the organization.

  • IT Support & Troubleshooting: You are the escalation point for IT incidents. You troubleshoot complex end-user and endpoint issues (hardware, OS, SaaS access, networking, identity sync) and identify patterns to drive systemic fixes.

  • IT Stewardship: You help define and improve IT support processes, documenting playbooks, managing ticket queues, setting SLAs, and mentoring others to deliver exceptional support.

  • Systems Mindset: Adept at using APIs, scripting (Shell Script, Python, Google Apps Script, etc), and automation tools to automate IT operations and minimize manual work.

  • Collaborative Partner: A strong communicator who bridges the gap between technical and non-technical teams, enabling productivity across the company.

Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years in IT systems or SaaS administration, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or technology company.

  • Identity & Access Management: Strong experience with Okta, including Workflows, Identity Governance, and SSO app integrations.

  • SaaS Platform Ownership: Proven experience managing a portfolio of SaaS tools, including license management, integrations, and data governance.

  • Device & Endpoint Management: Demonstrable expertise with JAMF Pro and Google Workspace Admin for Mac and Chromebook environments.

  • Automation: Proficiency in automating IT and SaaS workflows via scripting, APIs, or integration platforms (e.g., BetterCloud, Workato, etc).

  • IT Process Management: Ability to design, document, and iterate IT support processes, including asset tracking, ticket triage, and SLAs.

  • Communication: Clear, empathetic communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing SaaS lifecycle tools.

  • Familiarity with Cloudflare ZTNA and other secure access solutions.

  • Understanding of SOC 2, HiTRUST, or similar compliance frameworks.

  • Experience supporting zero-trust environments and modern endpoint security tooling.

  • Ability to define and track IT operational metrics (e.g., ticket resolution time, device compliance rate, SaaS utilization).

  • Background in automation or development to integrate and extend IT systems.

Compensation
  • $140,000 to $170,000 + equity
