Role Description: Senior IT Systems Engineer 
 
Role Purpose: 

The Senior IT Systems Engineer supports the scaling and reliability of Wasabi’s IT systems as the company grows. As part of the Business Systems team, this role manages core IT platforms, cloud collaboration tools, and hardware assets, while contributing to strategic initiatives and providing hands-on end-user support as needed. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Support and Services, this role partners closely with employees to drive adoption, security, and compliance through effective documentation, training, and responsive in-person and remote support. The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and curiosity, with the ability to troubleshoot efficiently, collaborate cross-functionally, and design simple, scalable solutions to complex challenges.

Responsibilities:
    • Own and improve business-critical IT systems, including upgrades and new tool rollouts. 
    • Configure, maintain, and optimize the company’s SaaS application portfolio to ensure reliability, security, and scalability. 
    • Support and manage the company’s AI tools and provide escalated IT support for a global, remote workforce of 500+ users. 
    • Troubleshoot across software, hardware, cloud services, and endpoints. 
    • Manage laptops and IT assets from purchase through lifecycle and compliance. 
    • Use automation and AI to improve support, documentation, and IT operations. 
Requirements:
    • 5+ years of systems or IT engineering experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong IAM and security experience, including Okta and cloud security tools like Netskope. 
    • Hands-on support for Windows, macOS, and Linux in a remote environment. 
    • Experience with MDM and endpoint tools (Jamf, Intune, device security)
    • Familiar with collaboration tools like Microsoft 365, Slack, and Zoom. 
    • Comfortable automating tasks, communicating clearly, and working in a fast-paced environment.        
 

Base Salary – $93,500 - $140,500

The base salary range reflects the full range for this position at Wasabi Technologies. At Wasabi, we believe in paying fairly and competitively, and individual compensation is determined based on factors such as job-related experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Base pay is just one part of our total rewards approach. Depending on role eligibility, Wasabi team members may also receive additional compensation and benefits, including bonus or variable compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both professional growth and personal well-being.
