Overview:

About the Team At Apollo, the Lifecycle Marketing team is responsible for designing and executing full-funnel campaigns that convert prospects into customers and customers into advocates. We obsess over personalization, scale, and experimentation — with Customer.io and AI at the core of our stack. In this role, you’ll report to the Director of Lifecycle Marketing and work cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Sales, CS, and Growth to optimize Apollo’s journey from sign-up to success. You’ll have ownership over some of the most critical business goals — free-to-paid conversion, product adoption, expansion, and retention — and the room to innovate, build, and make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Lifecycle Campaign Execution: Own the strategy and execution of full-funnel lifecycle journeys — onboarding, adoption, expansion, and retention — personalized by segment, tier, and behavior.
  • Onboarding Optimization: Continuously test and refine early-stage journeys to increase conversion and feature adoption.
  • Cross-Sell & Upsell Enablement: Work with Product and PMM to surface the right value props to the right install base audiences at the right time.
  • Churn Prevention: Develop signal-based retention journeys and collaborate with CS for high-touch interventions.
  • Experimentation & Analytics: Leverage Apollo’s first-party data and AI tooling to launch high-volume, high-impact experiments.
  • AI-First Operations: Drive operational scale and speed by using AI to support lifecycle design, QA, and reporting workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the connective tissue between lifecycle, sales, product, and marketing teams to align messaging and timing.
  • Lifecycle Analytics Infrastructure: Partner with RevOps and Marketing Ops to build dashboards and attribution models that surface actionable lifecycle insights across product usage, campaign touchpoints, and pipeline.

Qualifications:

  • Lifecycle Strategy: 7+ years of proven experience designing CRM-integrated campaigns across activation, adoption, expansion, and retention in B2B SaaS.
  • Marketing Automation: Hands-on expertise in tools like Customer.io, Braze, Marketo, Iterable, or Klaviyo.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to interpret lifecycle data and translate it into experiments and strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled at building strong relationships and driving alignment with GTM and product teams.
  • AI Fluency: Embraces AI as an accelerant for writing, building, analyzing, and scaling lifecycle marketing.
