About the role:

As a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will be a pivotal leader in shaping and executing advanced lifecycle marketing strategies that drive customer engagement and retention across all stages of the customer journey. You will work independently within an established framework to tackle complex marketing initiatives with defined objectives. Leveraging your expertise in data-driven insights and customer behavior, you will create and optimize dynamic user journeys that enhance customer loyalty and maximize lifetime value. Additionally, you will mentor and develop a team of lifecycle marketing managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategies that maximize customer engagement and retention across various channels.

  • Campaign Execution: Lead the execution of targeted lifecycle marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze customer data to identify trends, optimize campaigns, and improve ROI, utilizing tools such as Google Analytics and marketing automation platforms.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience and effective campaign execution.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Customer Insights: Conduct research to understand customer behavior and preferences, using findings to inform marketing strategies and enhance customer journeys.

  • Experimentation: Plan and execute experimentation strategies, leveraging insights to accelerate the impact of lifecycle initiatives on user engagement and monetization.

  • Budget Management: Manage the lifecycle marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize campaign impact.

  • Training and Mentorship: Coach, mentor, and upskill lifecycle marketing managers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.

  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in lifecycle marketing, applying insights to enhance strategies and drive innovation.

Requirements:

  • 9+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing roles, ideally in a large-scale SaaS, consumer marketplace, e-commerce, or direct-to-consumer tech company, including 2+ years of people management experience overseeing marketing initiatives or teams.

  • Strong expertise in lifecycle marketing strategic planning, project management, and data-driven customer segmentation, leveraging technical knowledge in lifecycle marketing software solutions to optimize campaigns and tailor impactful messaging.

  • Experience working with D2C Lifecycle Marketing campaigns.

  • Experience working with multilocation campaigns.

  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Hubspot, Iterable, Customer.io, Braze, or Marketo) and analytics tools to drive campaign effectiveness.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Proven leadership skills in developing and managing individual contributors, including coaching and mentoring team members.

  • Extensive experience in customer journey mapping to identify key engagement points and improve user experiences.

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate campaign performance and derive actionable insights for continuous improvement.

  • Experience driving expansion beyond email marketing channels, including web, SMS, push notifications, and other digital communication methods.

  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in lifecycle marketing, with a focus on innovation and continuous learning.

  • Experience managing Lifecycle Marketing departmental budgets and staff allocation
