This is a senior role for an experienced trial lawyer who wants to try cases, shape strategy, and build something—without the overhead and financial risk of running a firm.
You will own case strategy from filing through verdict, first-chair trials, and lead a dedicated support team. Skilled litigation paralegals will assist and handle day-to-day case needs under your direction; medical records specialists, legal assistants, and closers will help carry the administrative load. • Try Cases to Verdict: First-chair jury trials, argue dispositive motions, handle hearings, and lead mediations when carriers refuse to pay full value.
  • Own Discovery & Motion Practice: Draft and direct pleadings, motions, and written discovery; prepare, take, and defend depositions of parties, experts, and treating physicians.
  • Direct Settlement Strategy: Set minimum settlement parameters, approve demand packages, and continue working negotiations and or mediation efforts in advance of trial.
  • Lead and Mentor: Supervise and develop your support team and be a leader and mentor to more junior attorneys, setting the standard for excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Serve as Client Advocate: Be the trusted voice for clients at the hardest moments of their lives—advising on strategy, progress, and settlement/trial decisions with clarity and compassion.
  • Help Shape Firm Strategy: Partner with firm leadership to refine litigation strategy, share trial insights across offices, and help grow our Texas footprint.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes legal environment.
  • Communication: Persuasive in writing and on your feet—with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, judges, and juries.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with legal research databases, case management software, and modern litigation technology, including responsible use of artificial intelligence.
