What will you be doing?

This is an exciting opportunity to partner with one of the world's leading, most innovative, and fast-paced global technology brands and retailers. As a Senior Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping the client strategically navigate evolving Consumer and B2B Technology markets through data-driven insights, market intelligence, and strategic guidance.

You will lead day-to-day client engagement, delivering high-quality recurring reporting, customized analyses, and provide actionable recommendations that will help the client understand market dynamics, competitive performance, and evolving business opportunities. Success in this role requires balancing a high volume of standardized client deliverables with ad hoc analytical requests while maintaining exceptional responsiveness, accuracy, proactiveness, and client service.

Beyond Technology market expertise, you will also help the client better understand how broader macroeconomic, retail, and consumer trends are influencing market performance, purchasing behavior, and growth opportunities. This includes connecting Technology sales trends to changes in the retail environment, consumer demand, promotional activity, economic pressures, and other external factors impacting the marketplace.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for key client stakeholders across Consumer and B2B Technology categories.
  • Deliver recurring client reporting, presentations, and business reviews that translate complex sales and market data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests and analytical inquiries, providing timely perspectives on market performance, competitive dynamics, emerging trends, and business opportunities.
  • Leverage Consumer and B2B Technology sales tracking data to help the client understand category performance, market share shifts, channel trends, and growth drivers.
  • Monitor and contextualize broader retail, economic, and consumer trends to help the client understand external factors influencing market performance and customer demand.
  • Identify patterns, risks, and opportunities within both the Technology landscape and the broader retail marketplace, proactively recommending actions that support the client's growth objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders by understanding their business priorities, challenges, and strategic goals while consistently delivering value, actionable guidance, and long-term trust.
  • Apply foundational analytical principles and data storytelling techniques to transform data into insights that influence decision-making and support the client's growth strategies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal analytics, operations, sales, and client service teams to ensure exceptional execution, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Stay informed on Consumer Technology, B2B Technology, retail industry, and consumer spending trends to provide Apple with relevant, forward-looking market perspectives.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting, streamline processes, and enhance the overall client experience.

The Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate is passionate about Consumer and B2B Technology markets and naturally curious about the broader forces shaping retail and consumer behavior. They thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of recurring deliveries and ad hoc requests, while maintaining a proactive, client-first mindset. The client will be the only focus/responsibility. The client is extremely complex, and it will be important for this candidate to be able to build relationships with various personalities, job levels (analyst to senior level), and understand and work with various functions of the organization (market intelligence, product research, finance, product marketing, retail, operations, etc.)
  • They are energized by working with data, uncovering insights, building trusted relationships, and helping the client understand their markets and achieve growth. The successful candidate possesses strong analytical fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to connect Technology market trends with broader retail and consumer dynamics to tell a meaningful business story and drive action.

Requirements

Educational:

  • Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Market Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master's degree (MBA, Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field) and/or Coursework or certifications related to data analytics, market research, consumer insights, or business intelligence.

Years of Experience & Interest:

Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in consumer insights, market intelligence, category management, retail analytics, business analytics, client services, account management, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience managing strategic client relationships and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • 8-12 years of experience within Consumer Technology, B2B Technology, Retail, Consumer Electronics, Market Research, or Consulting industries.
  • Experience supporting global technology managers, retailers, or channel partners,
  • Strong interest in Consumer Electronics (particularly with PC’s, Tablets, Wearables, Accessories, Smart Home, and Enterprise Solutions

Specific software or platforms:

Required:

  • Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Dynamics, Office 365, CoPilot)
  • Experience with Syndicated Market Measurement Platforms

Preferred:

  • Apple/Mac-based Software (i.e. Keynote, Mail, Calendar, etc.)

Location

This position can be located in the following area(s): Remote, USA. Preference for candidates based in Northern (San Jose, San Francisco) or Southern California.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $76,000.00 to $98,000.00 USD. 
 
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
