The Senior Manager, Network Operations and Cloud is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and day-to-day operations of the organization’s cloud and network infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, scalability, and security across both domains. The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional teams, drive automation and innovation, and ensure alignment with enterprise goals and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud & Network Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the operation, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure, including IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native services (e.g., serverless, containers, Kubernetes, Docker).
     

  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
     

  • Ensure optimal use of cloud resources through capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
     

  • Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and network security systems, ensuring high availability and stability.
     

  • Configure and maintain network hardware (firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers) to support business needs.
     

  • Proactively monitor and resolve network issues to maintain uptime and performance.
     

Security & Compliance

  • Enforce cloud and network security standards, including implementation of zero-trust architectures.
     

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits, and incident response plans across both environments.
     

  • Develop and maintain network security policies in alignment with industry standards and regulatory compliance.
     

  • Deploy and manage monitoring and intrusion detection tools to ensure real-time visibility and threat mitigation.
     

Automation & Innovation

  • Drive operational efficiency through automation of routine tasks and infrastructure provisioning.
     

  • Develop scripts and implement tools for automated network and cloud management workflows.
     

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
     

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud and network engineers, fostering technical growth, collaboration, and a culture of excellence.
     

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and ensure team adherence to best practices.
     

  • Partner with IT, security, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with organizational objectives.
     

Metrics & Reporting

  • Define and track KPIs for system uptime, performance, cost, and security across cloud and network platforms.
     

  • Utilize observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Splunk) for proactive insights and real-time visibility.
     

  • Deliver regular infrastructure reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
     

Experience:

  • 8+ years of combined experience in cloud infrastructure and network management.
     

  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical infrastructure teams (cloud and/or network).
     

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Cloud: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications
     

  • Network: CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or CompTIA Network+
     

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud architecture, and security practices.
     

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
     

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing.
     

  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nmap).

Estimated Base Pay Range: $122,400 - $188,300 USD/annually

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
