Position Summary
 

The Senior Manager, Growth Strategy drives the future of CVS Pharmacy by identifying, shaping, and advancing new strategic opportunities. In this role, you will bring structure to ambiguous problems, generate clear insights quickly, and guide leaders toward decisions that unlock meaningful business impact. You’ll lead fast‑paced strategic sprints, translate complex information into executive‑ready recommendations, and partner across a large matrixed organization to move high‑potential ideas from concept to early testing.

As the Sr. Manager, Growth Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in outlining the strategy for the Immunizations portfolio within the retail pharmacy business. You will develop strategic plans that align with the company’s goals to drive sustainable growth within the Immunizations portfolio, analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities. You will develop short and long term roadmaps that enable the organization to deliver on its strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sprints to evaluate and advance new growth opportunities across the Pharmacy portfolio
  • Develop clear, data‑driven insights and executive‑ready recommendations to support senior‑level decision‑making
  • Analyze market trends, research and competitive intelligence to gather insights and identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define opportunities, build alignment, and move initiatives through incubation and early testing
  • Operate effectively within a dynamic, matrixed environment and support enterprise initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience (consulting, corporate strategy), demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
  • 7+ years proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives using data‑driven insights and structured storytelling
  • Demonstrated ability to translate insights, research and analytics into actionable business recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity 
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills as well as demonstrated ability to find structure, logic, and insight in complex business problems to provide meaningful conclusions
  • Strong project management skills and experience balancing multiple projects or responsibilities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, retail pharmacy, or related industries
  • 10+ years of experience developing, implementing, and executing programs
  • 3+ years of experience in management consulting post-MBA/advanced degree
  • Healthcare consulting experience

Education
MBA or advanced degree in business, strategy, or related field required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
