Job Summary:
Wipfli is seeking a Senior Manager Guidewire Practice (Technical) to join its team at our Madison, WI office location.
Essential Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate who fills this position will work with clients to lead, analyze, research, communicate, architect, design and implement the technology solutions for a variety of functional domains including Insurance, E-Commerce and CRM.
- In addition, the person will provide technical leadership in Guidewire Suite, in-house developed systems and integration and implementation of cloud technologies preferably Guidewire Cloud solutions.
- The person should be able to lead and handle globally distributed teams assembled to deliver software solutions to clients and to take accountability for the solution design and technical delivery by following Industry standards and Agile principles.
- The person should be skilled in aligning insurance business needs with Guidewire technologies, which are widely used in the insurance sector for core system solutions. This could involve expertise in analyzing and translating requirements into implementations within Guidewire modules like Policy Center, Billing Center, or Claim Center. Knowledge in Guidewire configuration, integration, and customization would likely be essential.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
- The individual must also have at least 8 years of progressive software development experience. As part of the 8 years of progressive software development experience required, the individual must have:
- 8 years of experience in Architecting, Designing and implementation of insurance policy administration systems including at least 8 years of using Guidewire Policy Center and Guidewire Claim Center.
- 8 years of experience in integrating the systems using Webservices, JMS, Batch processing, Integration views and Plugins.
- 8 years of experience working with Guidewire Edge Portals, preferably Producer Engage, Customer Engage portals.
- 6 years of experience working with Java, Spring, Hibernate, Gradle, Maven, Kubernetes and Oracle.
- 7 years of experience in crafting complex SQL queries.
- 8 years of experience in addressing and resolving time critical issues in Guidewire applications.
- 8 years of practicing and implementing SAFe Agile principles.
- 4 years of experience with front-end web development using JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, NodeJS.
- 8 years of experience in fulfilling responsibilities including and not limited to planning and recommending on-board and work allocation and feedback for the team members.
- 8 years of software architecture experience including coding critical elements of architectural design, and counseling clients on the pros/cons of the proposed architecture.
- 8 years of experience managing offshore teams to navigate cross-cultural environments, coordinate remotely, and handle complex projects.
- 5 years of experience designing and building web applications for availability, scalability, performance, and disaster recovery in Cloud (Azure, AWS) and
- 5 years of experience providing technical directions to a distributed team executing the solution architecture and system design.
- Guidewire Cloud Ace certifications in Configuration and Integration.
- Guidewire Cloud trainer certification
