ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Senior Manager will develop and review all relevant medical affairs content, including abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters/presentations, graphical abstracts, systematic literature reviews, plain language summaries, slide decks, medical education resources, social media, infographics, video, multi-media and other types of external-facing medical content for an assigned area with limited supervision, serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Independent communication, writing and development of drafts includes researching, organizing, compiling, interpreting and quality check of various types of technical and/or medical information, with the ability to handle complex publications and content deliverables.
  • Review of drafts includes checking content pieces developed by other team members for clarity, perspective, accuracy, appropriateness for target audience, and overall quality, in line with all applicable guidelines and internal checklists.
  • Ensure training on relevant tools and processes, including new generative AI technology platforms, that ensure efficient and compliant execution of all medical affairs content.
  • Train other team members on processes, overall writing and presentation skills, and ability to adhere to quality standards.
  • Provide solutions to authors for any of the projects led by self and collaborate with other teams to drive these solutions (Graphics, Compliance agency, Statistics teams, etc.).
  • Maintain strong working relationships and open communication with stakeholders and cross functional teams, including representing the team at the Scientific Publication Committee Meetings.
  • Ensure delivery of all projects within expected timelines while adhering to all quality and compliance requirements for medical content.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on a breadth of medical content types, stay abreast of industry best practices / trends, and drive innovation for cutting-edge medical communication strategies including digital, dynamic, interactive, and modular formats.
  • Ensure training on relevant tools and processes, including new generative AI technology platforms, that ensure efficient and compliant execution of all medical affairs content.
  • Track the progress of all projects and resolve any issues/problems with guidance from the Team Lead.
  • Identify and train to become an expert on new tools/skills for content creation representing the latest trends in the. Ensure training across the broader MCCS team.
  • Serves as therapeutic area & product expert and functional subject matter expert (innovative publications & medical content) and role model for MCCS team
  • Develop and maintain repositories to enable effective transfer of TA knowledge. Contribute to development of internal process documents such as checklists, process maps, etc.

Basic Qualifications
  • Advanced scientific degree, (eg, MRes, MPharm, MSc, PhD, PharmD, MBBS/MD, MSc, MPH)
  • 7+ years of experience in writing/developing medical content for the pharmaceutical industry, academic settings, CRO, or biotech company
  • Ability to lead and execute a project end-to-end
  • Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport and credibility with team members, authors and key external stakeholders cross culturally/regionally to drive solutions ahead.
  • Effective English verbal and written communication with flexibility to be clear, consistent, compliant, and appropriate for a variety of settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Understand the applications of technology to medical content development.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in creating and developing medical content
  • ISMPP-CMPP®
  • Multimedia and omnichannel experience
  • Rapid adoption of new digital content, technology, and resources
  • Global experience (either work or education)
