THE ROLE

The Senior Manager, Motion Designer owns motion design as a discipline across the European region — shaping the strategy, standards, and systems that guide how motion shows up across every campaign, while remaining deeply hands-on in creating the work itself. This person is the go-to expert for all things motion: setting standards, mentoring other creatives, and ensuring every video we ship is built with a YouTube-first mindset while performing across Meta and other channels.

This role connects day-to-day motion decisions to broader marketing objectives and influences creative direction beyond their own assigned projects. They're the final expert voice on all things motion — from concept through final cut — mentoring other creatives, setting the bar for quality, and ensuring every video we ship is built with a YouTube-first mindset while performing across Meta and other channels. This role requires native or fluent German language skills, along with excellent written and verbal English communication.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Motion Design Testing, Creating & Iterating

  • Create, animate, and edit motion graphics and video content for upper- and mid-funnel campaigns — from first cut through final polish — based on creative strategy briefs (all videos adapted for YouTube and Meta)
  • Juggle multiple high-volume projects simultaneously against tight, fast-moving turnaround times without sacrificing quality
  • Support ideation for YouTube-first concepts based on inspiration and overall creative strategy
  • Identify testing opportunities within the motion-design space and improve creative testing velocity and ad iteration speed

Data-Driven Insights

  • Actively use YouTube metrics and HighRise reporting to inform hands-on creative decisions and revisions
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and workflows to improve efficiency, including hands-on development of AI-assisted animation processes
  • Surface insights from performance data to directly inform and refine creative output

Creative Leadership

  • Serve as the final expert voice on motion-design decisions, providing feedback on others' work
  • Manage relationships with agencies and freelancers, providing direct oversight and feedback ensuring results are delivered with speed and with the utmost quality
  • Manage and mentor junior team members
  • Build reusable systems and templates that speed up production and reduce costs
  • Act as the brand and quality guardian for all things motion design — reviewing, editing, and elevating every asset that ships
 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 5-7+ years of hands-on motion design and video editing experience, with a strong reel demonstrating end-to-end craft — from concept through final cut
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple high-volume projects simultaneously against tight, fast-moving deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Expert-level proficiency in motion design and editing tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere, or comparable software)
  • Deep experience creating YouTube-first video content, with working knowledge of adapting assets for Meta
  • Comfort using performance data (YouTube metrics, HighRise or comparable reporting tools) to inform and iterate on creative decisions in real time
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted animation tools and workflows, and genuine interest in evolving how motion work gets made
  • Native or fluent German speaker (required) with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the German-speaking market, including cultural trends, consumer behavior, and localization best practices
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior designers, freelancers, or agency partners — while still staying hands-on in the work yourself
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously with fast turnaround times
  • Experience localizing creative assets by adapting copy, pacing, messaging, and cultural nuance while maintaining brand consistency
  • Experience in DTC, subscription, or health and wellness brands is a plus

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
  • Competitive compensation and performance-based incentive plans.
  • A 100% remote working environment (excluding Laboratory positions), which has been implemented from day one.
  • A strong company culture that is enforced through the hiring process to ensure values alignment and a highly collaborative team.
  • A mission-driven approach to everything that we do, with an overall goal to significantly improve our customers’ health and wellness.
  • A high-growth, dynamic environment with opportunities for your direct impact to be felt.
  • Paid holidays, company-wide reset and reflect days, and unlimited PTO (based on your country of residence).
  • In-person team meetups for optimal collaboration, team building and accelerating productivity.
  • A work environment and culture that is based on high performance, productivity and continuous improvement.
  • The opportunity to work with passionate, high-growth, business-minded colleagues who bring their all to our mission each and every day.
  • Access to AG1 products and branded swag.
  • Monthly telecom stipend to offset some of the costs of home internet/wifi for eligible team members.
  • All other benefits and insurances as required by law, based on your specific country of residence.
