Position Summary

 

Reporting to the Principal, the Senior Manager will be the lead contact on client assignments across Non-Profit assurance industries. The Senior Manager will be responsible for planning, project management, supervising engagements, and providing industry expertise to clientele and Sikich staff.

 

What will you do in this role?

  • Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements with the ability to manage budget.
  • Manage key components of multiple audit engagements including strategy, planning, risk assessment, team management, and delivery of exceptional client service.
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and insightful recommendations surrounding a broad range of complex issues related to business processes and controls by leveraging expertise and experience.
  • Perform a detailed review of higher-risk areas to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of the audit work, that sufficient and appropriate evidence is obtained, and conclusions are appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key client sponsors.
  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring all levels of staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff.
  • Assist partners and senior leaders with generating new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships.
  • Understand our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients.
  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, and training audit and assurance professionals.
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
  • Deliver exceptional client support virtually and onsite as needed.

 

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA Certification required
  • Ten (10) plus years of Public Accounting practice experience
  • Ten (10) plus years of engagement management experience
  • Ability to develop new cliental and expand existing services to cliental
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and completing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
  • Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS.
  • The ability to travel as needed

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the base compensation range for this role is MIN $161,941.17 – MID $179,074.22 – MAX $193,722.81. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on several factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for roles in our Government Services pillar are determined by contract with the specific government agency Sikich is servicing.
