The Role

As a Senior Manager specializing in Payments at Capco, you will advise banks and other financial institutions on complex payments challenges, helping clients respond to changing customer expectations, regulatory requirements and developments across the payments ecosystem.

You will work closely with senior client stakeholders across Payments, Operations, Product, Technology, Risk and Compliance, supporting engagements spanning payments strategy, operating model transformation, regulatory change and the modernization of payments capabilities.

This is a senior advisory role combining deep payments knowledge, consulting expertise and strong stakeholder management. You will help clients assess opportunities and challenges, define target-state solutions and deliver sustainable change while contributing to the continued development of Capco’s Payments offering in Poland.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise banks and other financial institutions on payments strategy, transformation and regulatory change, translating complex market and regulatory developments into practical business actions.
  • Lead advisory and transformation engagements across the payment’s lifecycle, including payment products, processes, operating models and supporting capabilities.
  • Support clients in responding to developments across the European and Polish payments landscape, assessing business impacts and defining effective implementation and transformation roadmaps.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Payments, Product, Operations, Technology, Risk and Compliance, providing clear advice and supporting effective decision-making.
  • Lead client engagements and contribute to the growth of Capco’s Payments offering through proposition development, client conversations and the identification of new advisory opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in payments within financial services, gained within consulting, banking, payments or a combination of these environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the Polish and European payments landscape, including payment products, infrastructure, market developments and the regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of European payments regulation and industry developments, including PSD2/PSD3, the Payment Services Regulation (PSR) and instant payments.
  • Experience across areas such as SEPA, SWIFT, payment schemes, cards, account-to-account payments, open banking or cross-border payments.
  • Experience supporting payments modernization, payment platform transformation or operating model change within a bank or payment services organization.
  • Practical experience delivering payments strategy, transformation, regulatory change or operating model initiatives within banks or other financial institutions.
  • Strong advisory and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to communicate complex payments topics clearly to senior management and work effectively across business and technology functions.
  • Experience leading consulting engagements or complex payments initiatives, including managing teams, senior stakeholders, delivery priorities and client outcomes.

Bonus Points For

  • Previous consulting experience with Tier 1 banks or other major financial institutions.
  • Experience developing payments propositions, supporting business development or contributing to client proposals and senior-level client discussions.
