KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Vision, Strategy, and Roadmap
- Work with the EVP, Asset Operations and key stakeholders from Technology and Engineering to guide vision and strategy for software and systems including SCADA, SCADA integrations, and cross-departmental initiatives related to operational excellence and building a strong digital foundation for KCE's growth as an IPP.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive SCADA roadmap aligned with business objectives and fleet growth.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive cross-departmental initiative roadmap aligned with business objectives and fleet growth.
- Prioritize features and projects based on stakeholder input, business impact, and technical feasibility.
- Lead the transition to standardized architectures and scalable processes to minimize incremental workload across departments as KCE's fleet expands.
- Product Management and Execution
- Lead project execution, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with requirements.
- Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) and process improvements across SCADA and integrated products.
- Implement best practices for documentation, code management, and release tracking.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration to clarify requirements, resolve scope gaps, and improve delivery outcomes.
- All other duties as required.
WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and 8+ years of experience in energy.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or other technical field preferred, with an MBA and/or advanced degree in engineering, finance, business, or related management a plus.
- Deep technical knowledge of lithium-ion batteries and the grid-scale energy storage industry.
- Demonstrated experience in product management, project execution, and cross-functional leadership.
- Strong understanding of SCADA systems, industrial protocols, and product integrations.
- Proved ability to manage competing priorities, drive process improvements, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to successfully meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a small team.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for site visits and company events.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of working at a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must have the ability to identify and distinguish colors
