Renewals within the Select segment represent some of Samsara’s largest, most strategic, and highest-impact customer relationships. As Senior Manager, Renewals – Select, you will lead a team of senior Renewal Account Executives responsible for retaining and expanding our most complex Enterprise and Majors accounts. Reporting to the Director of Select Renewals, you will drive retention strategy, forecast accuracy, and executive-level deal execution across a portfolio of high-value, multi-million-dollar agreements. This role requires a strong commercial leader who can coach sophisticated negotiations, partner cross-functionally at the executive level, and ensure operational excellence across long-range renewal cycles.
In this role, you will:- Lead and develop a team of senior Renewal Account Executives managing Samsara’s largest and most strategic Select accounts
- Own team performance against renewal rate within the Select segment
- Drive rigorous forecasting discipline, ensuring clear visibility into risk and opportunity 9+ months ahead of renewal
- Coach and support complex, high-value negotiations ($500K–multi-million dollar agreements), stepping in directly with executives when needed
- Partner closely with Enterprise Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal to align on strategic account planning and commercial strategy
- Establish structured inspection rhythms and deal reviews to ensure strong execution across long-cycle, multi-stakeholder renewals
- Identify systemic risk patterns within the Select portfolio and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Elevate negotiation frameworks and best practices across the team to maximize contract value and long-term customer outcomes
- Maintain high standards of CRM hygiene, data integrity, and renewal tracking across the segment
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team)
- 6+ years of quota-carrying experience in renewals, account management, or Enterprise SaaS sales
- 3+ years of frontline sales or renewals leadership experience managing high-performing, quota-carrying teams
- Demonstrated success leading teams responsible for complex $500K+ Enterprise/Majors SaaS agreements
- Strong executive presence with experience engaging Director+ and C-level stakeholders
- Proven ability to coach advanced negotiation strategy and multi-threaded deal execution
- Consistent track record of driving forecast accuracy and operational rigor
- Experience partnering cross-functionally to resolve complex commercial and contractual issues
- Highly organized with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- High integrity, strong business judgment, and ability to operate independently in high-stakes environments
- Salesforce proficiency required
